I thought the term “colored person” was a no-no these days. That it’s racist. But you can call them a “person of color” instead? It’s the same thing!

No, the point is to periodically change the nomenclature, this forces people to stay on their toes in order to maintain a sufficient level of virtue signaling. Sort of like slang and being "hip". Colored people was considered derogatory, people of color is considered superior to evil whitey.

Once upon a time, people like George Carlin, Richard Prior, Nipsey Russel, Jerry Seinfeld, etc., would have explained that, made people laugh and think while doing so, and made a good living for themselves as well.
