When people in my area have to drive 10 miles round trip to get the mail it is useful to know if anything is there. If you are expecting something important you do not have to drive 10 miles a day to see if it it there.

Or allow you the opportunity to have them not deliver items of mail. USPS would certainly benefit from not having to deliver all that junk mail. Let them toss it?

WOW. 10 feet is far here :)

It IS also useful for older folks in condos who have to go to the curb to get their mail.

As for me, I DONT WANT TO fret about ANY IRS or federal mail any longer than I have to!

This is a disaster for worriers :)

We have the service and we already know if it’s worth a trip to the mailbox........it’s a long walk. Most important bidness is online as far as bills and such. Mostly junk mail daily but if I get a personal letter it’s nice to know it’s there and of course when your new gas cards and credit cards come in you sure want to get those out ASAP.
