No, I think it’s named after the gallant action US Marines took in defending the Western embassies during the Chinese Boxer Rebellion.

The USS Boxer was named after the HMS Boxer, a 12-gun brig captured from the British by the ORIGINAL USS Enterprise in the War of 1812!
The ship is bad ass. The Marines sailing on her? More so !
I would hope one of our defences go a bit rogue and end up in downtown Tehran.

That was my first thought. She needs to be brought into dry dock to have the hull scraped and repainted.

Well the tension is not enough tension to spike oil prices. They have been flat for about a year. Gold us up though.
Most, if not all, of Iran’s oil is sold on the black market............

But a shut down of shipping in the Gulf would affect oil shipments from Iraq, the Gulf states as well as Iran.
Oil prices are flat in the mid 50s. If there is something real, the price would go up. The world economy is sluggish. But at least the U.S. Has moved to more domestic production.
What did they shoot it with? Just curious (former DD Officer in the Gulf).

Just heard a blurb on FNC that we used some kind of electronic weapon to bring it down, said we din’t actually fire on it to bring it down. Didn’t catch the name of weapon.
