The German government surrendered at the end of WWII. But I’m not sure any representatives of the Nazi Party were really involved in the surrender. You could make the case that Germany surrendered, but the Nazis never did.
I look around the world today and I think the Nazis won.
I think what Trump is basically doing is trying to finish WWII and defeat Fascism.
BTW, the EU today is pretty much the outcome Hitler wanted for the continent. And once again, the UK is messing things up for the German Chancellor.
Probably it is more consistent to say that one could look around the world and see that communism never truly surrendered, and that its horrors are perpetuated in the current global order. There is no really direct line from Nazi Germany to the modern world. People confuse the similar techniques of totalitarian societies, but the intellectual footprint is that of communism, not fascism.
“I think what Trump is basically doing is trying to finish WWII and defeat Fascism.”
Maybe he wants to or maybe he doesn’t now that he has dodged the coup attempt by DOJ; but you know he can’t. The deep state still owns the bureaucracies and the federal police state agencies. This is where the fascism has become deeply rooted in and accepted by our culture. People are used to it and even embrace it as a necessary part of a free republic.
The stupid propagandized sheep come in red and blue colors.
Not really sure, but wasn’t Adm. Karl Doenitz who signed the surrender, a member of the National Socialist Workers Party ?
