Exclusive: Donald Trump Attempts to Revolutionize GOP Fundraising; Consultant Class Pushes Back
Breitbart ^ | 12 Jul 2019 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 07/21/2019 6:28:51 AM PDT by T Ruth

President Donald Trump, his 2020 re-election campaign, and the Republican National Committee (RNC) are attempting to revolutionize GOP fundraising by bringing the whole process for all party candidates under one roof in an outfit called “WinRed,” but some in the consultant class who stand to lose significant business are fighting back against it.

Democrats have had, for more than a decade under their banner fundraising tool “ActBlue,” essential uniformity, especially among small-dollar donors with a tool that allows them to, at peak effectiveness, steer dollars to where they are most needed to win elections. Republicans, because they have used a variety of fundraising vendors and tools across a disparate array of firms, have essentially been at a disadvantage as a party.

***

Brad Parscale, Trump’s campaign manager, added in a statement to Breitbart News that the GOP committees and president’s campaign are fully behind WinRed and expect all candidates, state parties, and other political action committees (PACs) affiliated with the GOP to get on the WinRed platform.

“There’s a reason President Trump and all the major GOP campaign committees are united behind WinRed: it has the best technology and data integration that will lift all conservative boats and actually help Republicans win in 2020,” Parscale said.

***

A problem Republicans are running into as they seek to implement WinRed across the GOP with all candidates and committees is pushback from consultants with other competing technology. For it to process fundraising donations, WinRed has contracted with Revv–which is a vendor that serves a back-end fundraising platform. Trump’s campaign has used Revv for years. Competing processor Anedot has created a competing website that used the RNC’s and the president’s likeness to try to hit back at the party for not being the selected vendor.

I can proide testimony as to the noted procedure.

I receive three or four mailings from Republicans soliciting funds for the Republican party each week. The solicitations are from several senators, President and Melania Trump.

The effort as measured by the published campaign receipts record seems to be very effective. Next year, when the actual chips are down, the Republicans have solid records of where to go to make the real appeal to contribute to overcome the nominated democrat enemy..

The GOP would be wise to follow 100% of his advice, because without him, they no longer exist.

This is brilliant.

The consultant class chooses the people they’re willing to work for... Their motive is to find people who are superficially charming, lacking in firm principles and flexible enough to spend large sums of money on ads.

Consultants receive their pay as a percentage of ads run. So they want pliable people who are fairly easy to control.

That’s NOT what the country needs and it explains why we get cookie cutter idiots with mush for backbones.

Trump is right on this...

I think every one of them are asking for money. Many I’d never even vote for. TO RINO. Had 3 txt messages yesterday. I never gave them Permission to Txt me, or call me. Most out of state ones go straight into the trash can. I don’t know who you are or what you stand for.

Nor do I give to any but the Candidate I prefer. Never to a GOP ORG who funds RINOS.

The Cheap Labor Express does not want to lose control of the GOP which they have had for 30 years.

I fully agree with your insights which prompt me to take a look at the situation from 35,000 feet.

We conservatives are perennially complaining that elected Republican Congressman and Senators are notoriously undisciplined, especially when compared to Democrats. This, of course, is compounded by the fact that the media acts as a amplifier for Democrat talking points, a phenomenon that we have seen time after time of Democrats parroting the same line and even parroting the same key words.

I believe that one of the reasons why the Democrats are more disciplined than Republicans is because of the financial control which exists in that party. One name, George Soros, and by extension his billionaire buddies have enormous power over the Democrat party. Witness his switch in 2008 from support of Hillary Clinton to support of Barack Obama. Soros is notoriously ruthless in the application of power but respect for facts compels us to say that he applies his money brilliantly winning one state election for Secretary of State and for sheriffs etc. Thus he gains control at the grassroots level. Money from the top, control from the bottom, the Democrats are a disciplined unit.

The fight in the Republican Party is between the populism of Donald Trump against the rent-seeking establishment which regards the party as an expendable vehicle for their personal aggrandizement. The money from Wall Street, funneled through K St., on issues such as, trade, globalism, immigration and other cheap labor programs is more important to these politicians than a voting block of country clubbers who have not yet been devastated by these policies to the degree that the policies have devastated blue-collar people, Reagan Democrats. Country clubbers are next. The inexorable creeping Blue Line of the electoral college is as plain as biblical handwriting on the wall, mene, mene, tekel, upharsin was to Daniel who knew it meant the destruction of that establishment.

It has been apparent to all of us for some time that the Republican Party simply cannot endure as a house divided. That is what this fight is all about. Either Trump's vision of a populist-right governing philosophy prevails or the Republican Party is doomed to an ignominious, pathetic death.

The old saw, money is the mother's milk of politics, is eternally true. Those who control the money, control the party; those who control the money control the message. The establishment's message is clearly well beyond its shelf life.

Convert to a new message and a new way of funding or die. Convert or watch the nation slip into the clutches of George Soros' agents of malevolence.

The “republican consultant class” is just a bunch of democrats who have “permeated” the republican party.

The dems spoke about doing this 25 years ago...

They need to no longer exist.

I will never donate to parties or organizations.
Only to individual candidates.

This concept was conceived and initiated by none other than LBJ back in the 30s when he was in the House. Funded initially by Texas oil and Brown & Root, with Sam Raburn cover, it ultimately (along with a stolen Senate election and the stolen ‘60 election) propelled him to the Presidency. His late ‘50s virtuoso performance as Senate Majority Leader was the greatest example of legislative leadership this country’s seen.

Agreed.

As far as I am concerned, the GOP is evil, just in a different way the the Democrat Party is evil.

I don’t know what America would have done without Donald Trump. It was that close.

Most of the money raised goes to the fund raisers not the candidate. There was a good article about this on Free Republic recently.

there’s actually way more to this than just a payment processor that breibart missed, namely all RNC fundraising has become joint with Trump because of Trump’s ability to fundraising. The money is split according to a formula. This gives the RNC money to help with critical races and essentially gives Trump ownership of the RNC so that RNC money doesn’t go to anti-Trumpers like Romney ...

This, of course, is compounded by the fact that the media acts as a amplifier for Democrat talking points, a phenomenon that we have seen time after time of Democrats parroting the same line and even parroting the same key words.

The hive mentality of the democrat party isn't a random fortuitous accident... Rather than working to change the minds of the masses - democrats targeted individual high ranking journalist... and messages were tailored to that person's life view. It's much more efficient and has the side bonus of control.

Without God sending us Trump - a man who doesn't drink out of gold goblets with his friends and concubines - we would have become a totalitarian state... Even now the odds are against us. But there are people who have glimmers of the reality behind the shadows on the cave wall. You nathan, might be one of those people. That said the discipline of democrats is more a logical end to an incentive pattern that actual discipline...

It is my understanding that if you send money to Trump, he shares 25% back to RNC. that works for me.
