“Another “prog” democrat bites the dust.”

Yeah, but he will probably be replaced by the Commie Mayor of San Juan, Yulen Cruz. People here want to kick out this state or that, but maybe we should start with Puerto Rico. They behave like the rest of Latin America, and they have no real allegiance to America ( other than being attached to our wallets like a school of Remoras).

We’ll see if he actually leaves.....August 2nd is the effective date. ‘OUR Progressives’ have a way of continuing their political operations as a hidden governing body when they leave office.

Good riddance.

Now if their assorted corrupt and incompetent mayors & etc. would resign too.

But the people aren’t upset about corruption and incompetence.... They are upset about some Politically Incorrect (but mostly accurate) talk.

Twitter comments interesting.

“Now let’s get rid of Trump” vs “Trump was right, the PR leaders are corrupt.”

Maybe...just maybe, Puerto Ricans, both Island and mainland USA will wake up now and realize that they have been royally screwed, used and abused by the Democrat Party, Barack Hussein Obama and their “Island” crooks & criminals for many, many years.

The best friend and ally they have lives right in the current White House. His name is Donald J. Trump. Trump has a NY/NJ love for Puerto Rico and her people. He believes that this magnificent island can be turned into the “Gem of the Caribbean” if governed and managed with great vision, honesty and determination from the Puerto Rican people. He sees tourism, manufacturing, services and real estate as positives for the entire island. Wise up...Amigos....you have everything to gain and, nothing to lose by supporting and voting for Donald J. Trump on the Mainland and putting a “Trump” Governor in the governor’s chair!! Do it!!!

Puerto Ricans have contributed greatly to the USA in business, education and service in the USA armed forces since the day they became under the wing of the USA. Now is the time to move forward with someone like POTUS, Donald J. Trump who cares about you, your families, the Puerto Rico island and the mainland USA!!!

The Secretary of State would be the next in line to succeed the Governor, but he resigned on July 13th, and hasn’t yet been replaced. The next in line is the Secretary of the Treasury. Francisco Pares Alicea was appointed as Acting Secretary of the Treasury by Rossello, after he removed Raul Maldonado. It’s anybody’s guess how long Alicea will be staying. He was previously the Secretary of Internal Revenue and Tax Policy. What a cluster-f*ck!

“They behave like the rest of Latin America”

In recent years some nations in Latin America have a good record of removing, bringing to trial and send to prison corrupt elected leaders. Unlike US.

Is there even an alternative conservative party there? Like Tories in UK?

“What a cluster-f*ck!”

Your comments make my point about the inability of Central and South American countries to govern themselves. It leaves me wondering if it's genetic? When the odd “good leader” is chosen, he or she doesn't stay long, before the populous is chomping at the bit to elect another dictator (usually some prick from their military) with a line of bull$hit about how he's going to “fix” all their problems with Socialism. we went to PR for an annual sales meeting a number of years ago ( in place of our usual week in Hawaii). We never went back. Even San Juan was a comparative $hit hole of a city. While we were there, the wife of one of our number was taken ill and had to be hospitalized. The hospital staff stole the woman's jewelry and the care was so poor that her husband chartered a medivac jet and had her flown home to Atlanta to receive treatment.

Thanks for sharing your experience in Puerto Rico. What a nightmare for that poor woman and her husband. My only experience south of the border was a 7-day cruise with a work friend to the Mexican Riviera. I’d never been on a cruise before, and figured it was only 7 days, and would give me the chance to see what one was like. I hated it. I’ll never take another cruise ever again. The places we visited were clean, but I’m just not into stuff like that. Sure I’d like to visit the Inca, Aztec and Mayan ruins, but I can forego those if it means having to go south of the border ever again. Even the short time we were in San Diego prior to our cruise leaving, it was enough for me not to ever want to go back to California ever again. The only good thing was the San Diego Zoo. At least the animals there have four legs, and wings.
