His latest call for an investigation is likely to renew criticism that Trump tends to float wielding the Justice Department against political opponents. Trump's rant on Friday came as Democrats vowed to continue investigations into Trump's possible obstruction of justice and abuse of power.
The irony and hypocrisy is obvious here. Did they even realize this when they put those sentences next to each other?

And as for the book deals, allow me,as a published author, to comment on this.
The publishing industry today is run by vile, frothing at the mouth, crazy New York extremists. So unglued are they that they hand out multimillion dollar advances for books that they know for an absolute certainty that no one will ever buy.
It’s been many years since publishers cared about making money. They stay afloat off the backs of their celebrity authors.
Thus, if President Trump were to suggest that some hinky cash washing was going on, I wouldn’t dismiss it at first blush.
The President uses Twitter to end run around the Fake News and speak directly to us.
He also shrewdly uses it when he wants to take complete control of the news cycle for a day or two.
One properly planted Trumpian tweet = 24-48 hour look squirrel.
