I’m going to guess this trip to Europe was a high school graduation present from their parents. Looks like things didn’t work out too well. At least they will have some time to learn to speak Italian.
One of the “teens” has gone to Italy every summer for years as he has family there, and invited the other “teen” to join him... both from affluent families in Marin where neighbor say they were drunken/doped up pains in the arse.
They only need 2 Italian words...ouch & vaseline. Sucks to be them. Say goodbye to Marin LIB lifestyle...losers
