A veiled anti-trump screed from NR. They want kalifornian pubs to be democrat-lite and spineless. Yeh, like that has really worked well.

The pearl-clutching, handbag-wringing, fainting-couch-using, nagging “Church Lady” type that dominated the CA GOP for decades is exactly why the GOP failed in CA - and is why the GOP fails in other areas. Same type that demand every GOP candidate be perfectly snow white of record and morality and held to an impossible standard, the same type that was appalled that OMG TRUMP HAD A DIVORCE, HE CAN’T BE OUR CANDIDATE.

Nobody but other annoyingly uptight morality police proselytizers will listen to them; the average person today look at people like that and immediately goes elsewhere.

When confronted by Democrats, this type doesn’t punch back or stand up for themselves. They look appalled, apologize profusely and go use their fainting couch.

“A veiled anti-trump screed from NR”

Yup. It took a while to get there but, sure enough, the author did.

It's actually pretty clever as it prepares for a consistent party line to keep the open borders crowd on message as other states like TX are being set-up to be turned.

It's also a classic example of gaslighting, where the denial of evident facts forces victims to question their own understanding and perception of reality.

But never fear, born & bred CA natives such as myself know the truth. The state used to be white, now it's hispanic; it's really not any more complicated than that.

NR and other paid organs can attempt to establish confusing narratives and plausible explanations in anticipation of similar push back in TX, but it's really a wasted effort. The days of controlled narrative are long past; now the truth is easy to determine.

IMO, President Trump would do spinal implants if he held a rally or two there. Just image the pearl-clutching if he were to make an announcement.
