Warren Farrell: I’m looking forward to talking with you.
Davis: We’re recording this interview after a shooting in California, and it’s the kind of shooting that’s caused a lot of people to wonder. What is wrong with our young men? What’s going wrong with our boys?” They often seem angry, they lack purpose, and it shows up in things like this.
You write about what you call “the boy crisis” in your book. If you could encapsulate that in a nutshell, how would you describe it?
Farrell: The boy crisis is very much connected to the mass shootings. … I looked at all 56 of the largest developed nations and in all 56 of the largest developed nations. there is a boy crisis.
So, when I started examining more carefully what developed nations have in common that led to that boy crisis, I found that they had two major things.
One is as nations developed and there was more survival, the nations were able to give more permission for divorce. And they were also able to give more permission for women to have children without being married.
So, I started looking more carefully in those two groups because I saw that the boy crisis seemed to be dominant in those two groups. But as I looked more carefully, it was especially dominant among divorce families, where the children saw very little of their father.

Apart from his recommendation for single moms to enroll their boys in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, the latter of which in its traditional form is long gone, I found this interview to be good.

Education system failed boys
they removed vocational classes
destroyed math class and feminized it to a point of uselessness

anything and everything becomes a disciplinary issue
Once again, I notice that most the billboards, posters and visual commercials have Back To School Ads featuring all female children. For many boys, such posters don’t matter.
Their parents have drilled it into them, that school is necessary and beneficial.
But for the boys who don’t have that immediate guidance, such ads may cause the kid to think
school is really just for girls. Or only girls really get happy about going back to school. Or worst: It’s not very manly to like going to school.
Among those who do show a boy getting new things for school, you will usually only see minority children, rarely white.
PC pretension has pushed itself into almost every form of advertisment.
That taking the male role model, protector and provider out of a male child’s life is immensely destructive should have been obvious to everyone from the very start.
And I think it was.
They just didn’t give a shit... until the kid they subjected to these ruinous conditions shows up at school with an arsenal.
Not something I’d ever given much thought to, but the enforcement and negotiation of boundaries is something that those of us raised in “mom and dad” households took for granted. We and our parents questioned, debated and negotiated.
Kids with only one parent or one extremely dominating parent live in a “dictatorship” where there is no negotiating or appeal. They are taught not to question authority, but to dodge authority.
In the eyes of the evil left, boys are a “politically incorrect” sex.
Shunning God and values didn’t help either.
Feminists, Faggots, and Freaks. Took out God, put them on drugs, raised by females and shamed into being who they are. Boy Scout recruited faggots as leaders and gee for some reason it didn’t work! So let’s get girls into Boys scouts, and let them play boys football and boys baseball and just degenderize them. Hollywood and advertisers make it worse. Watch commercials and they are all aimed at females, and they wonder why boys want to grow up to be girls. If you have a boy, get them away from TV, or only watch old movies and documentaries on men. I watched the 50th anniversary of men on the moon. The entire time, critics commented on how racist and sexist it all was with just white men on the moon. Made me puke.

Pretty much how I was raised. The answer was going to be ‘no’ or it would produce such microscopic examination as to make any pleasure go away. So I learned to not ask questions whose answer I could anticipate and go with ‘No one told me otherwise.’ At least that way I got to do some of what I wanted. My parents were older and both pined for pre-WW One America, where people knew their place and young people kept their mouths shut other than to say ‘Ye sir or ma'am or No sir or ma'am. They really hated any initiative being taken. Do as you are told by all adults, keep your mouth shut and stay out of trouble was their mantra.
