While profanity CAN provide a “safety valve” for the intelligent when under stress, is is still undeniable that foul language is the near exclusive province of weak minds with poor vocabularies attempting to express profoundly strong thoughts or emotions.

Einstein may have cursed like a longshoreman at times, but he was far better at enunciating his thoughts and sharing his ideas than your average high school drop-out.

I don’t have any special dislike for him (love the star vest), and he’s certainty a “real” astrophysicist.

His TV show that they pimped so hard was boring as hell though. How do you make the majesty of the universe like watching paint dry? He found a way.

Yeah, liberals on the internet have gone ballistic at Tyson's post and he's now DEAD to them. I think they used to love him so much because they like to push the "GOP hates science" narrative, which in turn lead to a bunch of idiots on our side to assume Tyson was a left-wing activist due to lefties loving him so much.

People forget Tyson was a GWB appointee, not an Obama appointee. The Tyson bashers on here never had an answer why Bush would have appointed someone who "makes a living promoting the global warming scam", and why not a single conservative objected to it at the time.

In reality, Tyson is right about guns and wrong about global warming, just how Michael Crichton was right about global warming (he said the dangers were being hysterically exaggerated by the fear mongering media) but wrong about abortion (he wrote "A Case of Need" arguing for the legalization of it). Both earned legitimate doctorates and spoken in a calm, measured tone about the subject matter they were analyzing.

And yes, that puts phony "scientist" & goofy left-wing political activist Bill Nye in a totally different category, no matter how badly people on the left AND the right want to pretend he's somehow on the same level as Tyson.
