By: Justin Boggs items.[0].image.alt Candice Keller, a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, made controversial comments on Sunday following a pair of mass shootings, including one near her home district.
Keller's comments were published on Facebook on Sunday and have since been deleted, but not before a number of people made screen grabs of the comments and shared them on social media.
"She wrote, "The breakdown of the traditional American family (thank you, transgender, homosexual marriage, and drag queen advocates); fatherlessness, a subject no one discusses or believes is relevant; the ignoring of violent video games; the relaxing of laws against criminals (open borders); the acceptance of recreational marijuana; failed school policies (hello, parents who defend misbehaving students): disrespect to law enforcement (thank you, Obama)."
The comments drew ire from her own party, including the head of the Ohio GOP, Jane Timken. She released a statement to WBNS in Columbus. Timken called on Keller to step down.

Since when is common sense “inflammatory”?
“The breakdown of the traditional American family (thank you, transgender, homosexual marriage, and drag queen advocates); fatherlessness, a subject no one discusses or believes is relevant; the ignoring of violent video games; the relaxing of laws against criminals (open borders); the acceptance of recreational marijuana; failed school policies (hello, parents who defend misbehaving students): disrespect to law enforcement (thank you, Obama).”
The Left has the 1st amendment on the run.
she’s correct. but all the things she mentioned have one common thread; Godlessness
The truth hurts snowflakes.
Until liberals admit that their policies and the lifestyles they advocate cause endless harm, disease, & death - this evil cycle will continue.
I pray she doesn’t step down and doubles down instead.
“The comments drew ire from her own party, including the head of the Ohio GOP, Jane Timken. She released a statement to WBNS in Columbus. Timken called on Keller to step down.”
Jane Timken is the one who needs to “step down!” Republicans like her are the pond scum around “The Swamp!”
This is why there is no hope for the GOP. The party is going to bide its time until Trump is out of office . . . and then go back to exactly what it has been for as long as I can remember: useless.
What is “controversial” about those observations? Even if they were, we have an absolute right to free speech in this country. She can run for re-election, and her constituents can decide. Presumably many of her constituents agree with these observations, and can feel good that their viewpoint is expressed in the public realm.
She left out “Weak Republicans” in her criticism, though it would appear.
Telling the truth in a time of universal deceit is a revolutionary act.
I just wrote to the Ohio GOP and told them Jane Timken should resign, and furthermore, I am waiting to see the GOP breathe it’s last, being replaced by the Trump Party.
She left out Weak Republicans in her criticism, though it would appear.

Well, ‘vasectomy’ comes to mind.
Truth shall not be tolerated regardless of how true it is.
The events of this past weekend have caused everyone to cave in on progressive talking points regardless of the facts about who the shooters are/were and what caused them to do what they did. Even Trump has caved... we do not honor the dead by politicking at this point. And we do not honor the past or the future either. Principles of liberty and freedom are nonnegotiable.
Bring back Bob Michel!
Sounds like she pretty well had it covered, Beto is the one who needs to step down.
She be tellin proof. Off with her heads.
Exactly!
She’s right.
Just say NO.................I will NOT step down
I just sent the representative a note of support.
