McCain 2.0 Strikes Again: Dan Crenshaw Supports Gun Confiscation
BLP ^ | Aug 5, 2019 | Jose Nino

Posted on 08/05/2019 5:04:23 PM PDT by Farcesensitive

After the El Paso and Dayton shootings, Crenshaw expressed his horror at these atrocities.

But he took it a step further.

In a tweet he stated that “The solutions aren’t obvious, even if we pretend they are. But we must try. Let’s start with the TAPS Act. Maybe also implement state “red flag” laws, or gun violence restraining orders. Stop them before they can hurt someone. https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/838/text”

Crenshaw’s endorsement of The Threat Assessment, Prevention, and Safety (TAPS) Act reveals his establishment colors.

BLP previously reported on the TAPS Act introduced by Congressman Brian Babin (TX-36) in the House of Representatives and Senator Marco Rubio (FL) in the Senate:

It does the following:

Standardizes and provides a behavioral threat assessment and management process across the Federal government. Provides states the training, resources, and support needed to stand up community-based, multi-disciplinary behavioral threat assessment and management units. Recognizes that behavioral threat assessment and management processes must become part of the culture and fabric of contemporary law enforcement. Urges that this is a matter of national security – if we act now and work together, we can save lives.

Harmless title notwithstanding, many believe that the TAPS Act would potentially function as a pre-crime bill.

Amazing how quickly the swamp can make a man into a traitor.

Or perhaps he was one all along. Makes no difference to me.

The NRA is swirling the drain and their selling out on this issue means they deserve it.

Empty words. How does he intend to do that? Hire a bunch of divers to search every lake and ocean for dumped guns?

The NRA has been a target from the Left for decades. You think maybe, just maybe they’ve been thoroughly infiltrated and compromised yet? I do!!!

The Romans and Carthaginians killed a hundred thousand in one day. Not a single one with guns.

NRA in the past 30 years has been led by a bunch of compromising eunichs. The ONLY reason I am a member is because my favorite gun club requires it. It seems they like the fight without winning because it brings in more dollars to pay for Lapierre's $2000 suits.

Crenshaw is Ben Sasse with prior service. It was obvious during campaign season when he took gratuitous and media friendly shots at POTUS.

Wow, I sure was wrong about Crenshaw.

Oh, and I feel sure guns COULD eventually be confiscated here, but it would be a mess. Those who demand we be defenseless don’t care about such collateral damage...until it happens to them. I would bet that if such a law was enacted allowing government goons to go door to door confiscating weapons those who enacted the law would not survive the week.

“”” Standardizes and provides a behavioral threat assessment and management process across the Federal government. “””

So the federal government, 95% of whom vote democrat, will be providing training.

The other red flag bill gives grants to states that want to enact red flag laws. That one would cause an exodus from those states and most state politicians have never seen a federal grant they didn’t like. Purple states will turn blue from the exodus to solid red states. That could affect federal elections. Adding the inflow of immigrants and illegals and we’ll soon never see another republican president again.

Not the first time NRA sold out. They sell it to membership as "if we don't concede this compromise, the legislators will pass even more restrictive laws."

Government aims to make all of us into criminals so it has justification to use force. Age-old formula. USA spirit is a hollow shell. We are just as much subjects of the king, as subjects of the king were.
