I saw the exact opposite of that the other day. I stopped by a friends house and while there was talking to his 19 year old son. He works for his uncle’s heavy equipment company. The young man told me that he was heading out to buy a brush hog.

His uncle hates doing brush hog work but it pays well. This young man is taking on the brush hog contracts in his free time.

I also know some great ambitious young folks. They really stand out among their peers. The young folks in rural areas are not afraid to get their hands dirty. There are great opportunities, fortunes, and satisfaction for them in their futures. I do what I can to make them smarter than I was at their age.

Brush hog and heavy equipment... tells me the kid is not urban or even suburban, where the majority of kids come from.

I work with kids from around the country every day. When hiring I look for kids that have had construction experience or came from farms. The only ones worth a d... But that's just my opinion.
