Count Donald Trump Jr. as someone whos skeptical of passing gun control after recent shootings in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas.
Rebecca Ballhaus, Andrew Restuccia, and Natalie Andrews wrote at The Wall Street Journal about Trump Jr.s concerns with certain gun control proposals such as red flag gun confiscation orders and expanded background checks.
They wrote:
Donald Trump Jr., the presidents son who often speaks with his father about his views on gun laws, has raised concerns about both red-flag legislation and about tightening background checks, according to people familiar with the matter.

BLP reported on how Trump Jr. has been a strong advocate for accessory deregulation, especially in the case of firearms suppressors. His influence was rather strong from 2017 to 2018, when Republicans had control of all branches of government and were poised to pass one of the most comprehensive firearms accessory deregulation reforms in American history.
However, this attempt was ultimately capsized after the Las Vegas shooting of 2017. Nonetheless, Trump Jr. has indirectly held a strong pro-gun presence throughout the Trump administration.
Even his father recognizes this. President Trump told supporters at a fundraiser last Friday in N.Y that Don Jr. is my gun expert. He knows more about guns than anyone I know.

Trump Jr 2024!
In before some freeper declares the son of the sitting US president not a natural born citizen and thus ineligible to run because of something James Madison told his barber in 1783!
As has been the norm from Clinton signing the previous ban, there are so many things wrong and misinformed in this recent push, it’s getting hard to be civil about it.
Good!
I’m open to it depending on who else runs.
I don’t see anyone else I would prefer yet.
Some of our more “upscale” conservatives should realize that it is not wise to follow ones’ emotions in regards to tear jerking anecdotes before an election that might decide between peace and general collapse.
Donald Trump Jr. was born in New York City. Just goes to show us that one person in our northeastern U.S. is a conservative. ;-)
Im remembering when we were told that the massive NSA domestic intelligence gathering program would only be used to protect the country from terrorist attack and would never be abused and certainly would never be used against the American people
Our government cant be trusted and the hate driven New Left really wants to enslave us and send us to the gulag so giving up guns is a very bad idea.
Used to hang with people who have become the intellectuals of the Modern Progressive Left. They are fully aware that American gun ownership is the biggest obstacle to their imposition of their repressive, totalitarian agenda on the American people. Thats why they hate guns so much ( but only if those guns are in the hands of their political opposition)
Excellent.
Out of curiosity, what’s your #1 beef with 2A ignorance?

Funny how those things just seem to appear when needed...
He is, he was born on US soil to a citizen father.
Bottom line, Jr. is doing more for our side in protecting the Second Amendment than the NRA.
Given federal workers Union want to make a coup against the people with the government force of arms, maybe Trump should think of gun control as government gun control.
Maybe Don Jr. is the only one in the family who has guts enough to tell Javanka where to stick it.
Ignorance of the true meaning of our Second Amendment would eventually pave the way for violations of all of the civil rights of all Americans for a very short time, as we see from many of the recent statements and actions of Democrats. People in foreign culture communities on some of the fringe states and some of the non-arable states of our country continue to feel more comfortable with the cultures of their recent ancestors.
But do such people really want to live in a country that is governed like the Soviet Union or Nazi Germany? How many times must we Americans correct the same elements to reiterate the same conclusion (Prussia, World War 1, World War 2,...)?
