You can freeze melting chocolate but not chocolate that has been made in to confections already.
Either these 1972 people are going to eat this chocolate soon or they have wasted their money and there are going to be some disappoint people come Christmas.

I used to order things like that for Christmas, you used to choose ship dates when you ordered. I have not done that in years because everyone is on a diet now so not sure if they still do that with perishables.
