There is no Sherlock Holmes “Adventure in a Sealed Room.” If Feldman is going to make these things up, then at least she should take credit for them and not tag tired old Conan Doyle with her own brain farts.
Unless she means “The Sign or Four,” or some legitimate Holmes story, in which case she shouldn’t be so lazy as to make up a name of a fictitious, fictitious, story.
It undermines her point.
The reference to a trained monkey makes me think that Ms. Feldman was referring to Poe’s story The Murders in the Rue Morgue. That was a locked-room mystery, though the killer was an ape, not a monkey.
I agree that it was extremely lazy of her not to check such a simple matter.
