In reaction to the mass shooting in El Paso earlier this month in which Hispanics were specifically targeted, members of that community “crowded into a class over the weekend to become certified to carry a concealed gun in public in Texas,” according to Reuters. They have deprived the Left of its bully pulpit militating against gun ownership, and all it took was these people exercising their Second Amendment Rights under the U.S. Constitution!
The classes are just the tip of the iceberg:
Michael McIntyre, general manager of Gun Central, one of the largest gun shops in El Paso and the host of the class, on Friday said his store tallied double the usual number of sales in the week following the attack, something that did not happen after previous mass shootings in Texas.
Most of the sales were for handguns, which can be strapped to an ankle or shoulder under clothing.

“I have over 50 for this Saturday class and approximately the same amount for the Sunday class, and I normally have approximately seven,” McIntyre said.
“We actually had two people buy guns here who were actually in the Walmart on the day of the shooting. The other people are just saying, ‘Hey, you know I want to be able to protect myself in the event of something going on’,” he said.

In case people wonder why law-abiding Hispanics and especially law-abiding blacks acquiring guns is a big deal, it is because guns, more than ANY OTHER ISSUE, have the ability to flip Democrats into Republicans. No right-minded gun owner would EVER vote Democrat, particularly after Democrats virtually (and sometimes outright) PROMISE to take guns away from them. Guns aren’t cheap, and there’s nothing that can match them for protection - so people will get their backs up when politicians start making noises about taking them.
...but first, those people need to own guns.
And we know dems will spin this as “LOOK!!! Hispanics feel they need guns because of the white supremacist movement under Trump!!”
It won’t change many votes at all.
But they are very predictable.
This should actually serve as a warning to Americans since most “hispanics” are illegals or the result of illegal immigration and are simply wanting to arm legally or illegally to defend their criminality. This is as bad as letting members of Islamic cult and Antifa buy and possess guns. It won’t end well.
Most Hispanics I know are inclined to “take care of business” on their own.
Next shooter of invading Mexicans isn’t going to get off a whole lot of shots before somebody says, Gringo, two can play that game/

Again, it's not in their culture. Anger and spite are. We have weaponized most of the illegals already. When they get here the first things they own are smart phones and a set of wheels.
These two items give them technology previously available to military units only a few short years ago. Communications and transportation in the wrong hands-- especially among large tribal population groups--are weapons.
The only thing they don't have is a uniform identifying them as an occupying army. Now we are supposed to feel good about "the Hispanic community" carrying concealed?
There is no argument that they can't pass a background check. They don't need to. They have more angles going for them than a geometry teacher has.
If they can't do it legally, the cartels and gangs already working on U.S. soil will gladly sell them all the weapons they can pay for.
This will not end well.
One consequence of the seklf-arming of Latins and of Afros is likely to be realizations that the SocialDemocrats are not their answer. They will be open to market and conservative ideas as they have little been. This really is a (at least local) disaster for the Left.
Women.
Twenty years ago I saw the OCCASIONAL wife or girlfriend tagging along - or being dragged - to the range... often rather obviously bored or semi-patiently enduring the session. These days about a third of the people I see at the range are women, and most of them are because they want to use a handgun for defensive purposes.
Two weeks ago I saw three adjoining lanes being used by three different demographics* which aren't supposed to be getting along according to progressive dogma, yet there they were, having a good time and doing so at a shooting range.

I’m more thinking Democrats who still love America, not the hard-core Leftists who hate our country. At least the one who I knew very well was an America-loving Democrat, and so I questioned the hell out of him because of that contradiction (being a Democrat and loving America at the same time). He was TOTALLY CONVINCED that Democrats had no interest in grabbing his guns. That was 20 years ago and in Texas, where that was true, at least to some extent, so maybe he’s figured it out by now that today’s Democrat Party is FAR DIFFERENT.
So he was a conservative in every respect, but he still loved the Democrats and hated Republicans, again 20 years ago. Made him a very interesting subject for me. After long discussions, I finally got to the bottom of it - he was convinced that Democrats are “out for the little guy”, while, of course, Republicans are opposite. Also, his parents were UNION ACTIVISTS...so that’s all he heard growing up. It started to make sense at that point.

In 2016, Hispanics accounted for 18% of the nation’s population and were the second-largest racial or ethnic group behind whites.

If every illegal immigrant was Hispanic (it’s actually closer to half), that would mean that around 10% of the Hispanic population is illegal.
