I think Pete has been pushed forward for some interrelated reasons:

1. He’s a homosexual, and in the Democrat/liberal world, it’s cool to be “gay”.

2. He’s a military veteran, which has always been a plus for politicians, both Republican and Democrat.

3. Hand in hand with #2, he’s a personification of why it was considered wise to get rid of “don’t ask/don’t tell”.

4. He does not act like a stereotypical flamboyant homosexual. Which in turn is supposed to make “middle America” more comfortable with homosexuality and homosexual politicians.

5. He is legally married to another man, which is supposed to signify both that homosexual marriage is a good concept, and also that he’s not a stereotypical promiscuous homosexual man.

He may well see his presidential campaign fizzle out, and may not be the VP choice, but he’s going to be a “rising star” in Democrat politics in the future. He’s been groomed for such a role.

“Groomed” is an apt term here—and you’re exactly right.

here’s the thing - Yeah, he checks all the boxes and I’d go so far to say that his history is completely manufactured and/or directed in such a way to be a professional subversive politican (recall his parents are huge communists) But this was for politics pre-Trump.

Buttigieg’s ideologies (along with Obama’s) are purely typical socialist tripe meant to fulfill the socialist utopia - but in their attempt to destabilize society’s Christian morality they’ve successfully destroyed the value of their own ideology. That’s why there’s such a push on to silence dissent and “cancel” others - they’re trying to ensconce their morality but the people won’t have it because that ideology is worthless and serves only to keep those in power, in power.
It’s why the protestant reformation occurred and why Catholicsm lost power world wide - because the leadership subverted God’s word for worldly power (which is not a knock on Catholicism in general as I greatly respect the religion and institution - but like all worldly endeavours - it can be corrupted as we see today)
(Note this is also a failing in Buttigieg’s “brilliance” in that he fails to understand or even note this - as he lumps “all” religion into the pro-gay/anti-gay camp rather than the meaning and its foundations.)
Probably this is why all socialist societies fail... hmmm...

I don’t believe for a second that he really served in the military. The pictures of him “in uniform” are obvious, poorly done photoshops. Has anyone come forward who remembers “serving” with him? This sounds a lot like Obama’s deb7mked claims about attending Columbia and Harvard.
