Their tea :)

Is that a reality or just a stereotype on TV and in movies?

Tea and some kind of biscuit I see a lot on movies :)

It’s a GOOD move. Germany can be VERY bossy and controlling. (as we know from the 20th century)

Let loose the dogs of war. GB standing on the rim of the volcano this is a step back; the EU goons will be running up the hill to push them in now.

Well I suppose all stereotypes have at least an anecdotal connection to reality. But afaik, the British have been going to war over tea (and, as a symbol of trade) for centuries. The so-called opium wars were not really so much about opium but about the triangle trade with China and India - including tea, silver, wool and silk.

Speaking of stereotypes, the stereotype of the Chinese Opium Den... well, the British were importing opium to China. It is not or was not a native plant or a native practice until it was smuggled into China from India (from Afghanistan/Pakistan) by British and Dutch traders.

it’s a stereotype today. the Uk drinks a lot more coffee than it once did. And per capita poles and Russians drink more tea than the English today.

BUT, the English and Indian black teas are the best in my opinion.

the best black teas around are:
1. York tea (that’s a label) - very strong and good.
2. Brooke bond red label from India
3. Tetley tea - Indo-British
4. PG tips - British

The worst, absolutely worst tea is Lipton yellow label - utter swill imho
