China on Wednesday blasted a huge planned US arms shipment to self-ruled Taiwan and threatened to sanction firms involved in the sale of F-16 fighter jets.
The US State Department on Tuesday approved the transfer of 66 Lockheed Martin-built F-16 fighter jets to Taiwan in a US$8 billion deal, following another huge military hardware sale agreed just last month.
The deals come as ties between Washington and Beijing are already strained by a punitive multi-billion dollar trade war.

Taiwan is long over due for total recognition as the free Chinese state it is. The free Chinese moved to the island to escape chairman Mao. Chaing Ki Shek (sp?) went there during the communist war on China. They are the people we supported to turn back the Japanese in WWII in Burma. God bless the Flying Tigers and their heirs and the soldiers who fought in Burma. IMO.
It’s an amazing world....as each week passes in this trade-war mess....Vietnam is standing there to be one of the ‘winners’ and gainers. Various Chinese-based manufacturing efforts are packing up and moving there.
Vietnam, South Korea, and India are about to see some serious business coming to their shores. I’m convinced that the jobs and money that comes with them are what he’s trying to get North Korea to get on board with. Bring them out of the 40’s and watch them catch up to the modern world, as long as they cut the cord from their daddy in China.
And now we’re learning that there’s no way the Russian’s can export the amount of food the Chinese need, regardless of how many folks they have to feed in Russia. Only one other place to get that amount of food. Flyover Country, USA. Either that or China starves.
Toss in the fact that more and more of the countries that were swindled into the Chinese Debt Traps are starting to get a bit antsy as their country’s and people starve and the Chinese bring in their own workers, giving nothing to the locals.
Amazing how so many RINOs and the Left can’t see this strategy.
Want to know how much God loves the US? Pull some corn and tomatoes and a cantaloupe or two out of your garden. Go in and wash them off. Then get the chicken breast ready to fry. Oh don’t forget the fried zucchini and the fresh lettuce. Biggest blessing is that cool clear water. Remember to thank the lord for the bounty. God truly loves US.

Hard to see China ‘punishing’ Lockheed Martin since the next Democrat president will probably give them access to every Top Secret facility Lockheed Martin has.

The only thing about that “picture” that doesn’t fit here is that my daughter would likely roast ME if I butcher one of her pet free range chickens. But, I can drive a few minutes to a large public pond and catch some bluegill, bass, or catfish. A little further for trout, fall through spring. If I get a license, wildlife is abundant, or a neighbor might give us some venison.
(As for the chickens, we are content with the eggs.)
