Presidential Candidate John Delaney: Democrats Guilty of ‘Cheering on a Recession’
Breitbart ^ | 08/21/2019 | Joel B Pollak

Former Rep. John Delaney (D-MD) told the Associated Press in Iowa on Wednesday that fellow Democratic presidential candidates were guilty of “cheering on a recession because they want to stick it to Trump.”

Delaney, one of the more moderate candidates, has warned fellow candidates that policies such as “Medicare for All” and decriminalized illegal border crossings are bad for the country and sure to fail in a general election.

In the first Democratic presidential primary debate in Miami, Florida, in June, Delaney said: “All of the big transformative things we have ever done in this country’s history have happened when huge majorities of the American people get behind them, which is why we need real solutions not impossible promises.”

The one sane voice in the Democratic Presidential campaign field and he’s not even registering a blip in the polls.

Don’t know much about this guy, he was interviewed on FBN, and seemed rational. I couldn’t believe he was a Dem.

The media and political elites see a market crash as a twofer — to help get Trump out of office and to destroy middle income (mostly white) Americans’ 401Ks. So they’ll be stoking recession fears hard for the next 14+ months, hoping to bring it about. It’s all they have after the failed Russia/collusion story and the failed “white America is inherently racist” narrative.

He advocates a bipartisan, pragmatic approach to solving the nation’s problems.

Poor deluded guy.

I don’t know, but Tim Conway could play him on SNL.

Democratic presidential candidates were guilty of “cheering on a recession because they want to stick it to Trump.”

Stick it to Trump AND all Americans - proving Dems hate America.

Another Dem who will eventually come over to the dark side once he gets drummed out of his party.

Have some relatives in Maryland. They say Delaney is okay for a Democrat but don’t believe what he says because he either doesn’t really mean it or is easily persuaded into more liberal policies by his Democrat colleagues.

Just like Conor Lamb here in PA. Talks a good game about being conservative when he’s running. But when the vote comes down he always votes with Pelosi.

well, cheering on a recession is all they got and they know ... the Dems know they don’t have a prayer of beating Trump unless the U.S. economy enters a recession ... after all, that’s exactly how Obama got elected the first time ..
