Former Gov. John Hickenlooper has a 13 percentage point lead over U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner in a hypothetical 2020 contest for Colorado's U.S. Senate seat, according to a new poll of the state's registered voters.

The poll, released Tuesday by Emerson College, comes as Democrat Hickenlooper is expected to announce within days whether he will run in the Democratic primary for Senate.

I don’t need any polls to tell me that Gardner would lose. Colo. is too Blue now.

And gardner is a POS. It does not matter who runs against him, gardner is hated by many conservatives and despised by all dems. gardner tried to play both sides and lost. Add to that the fact the Colorado republican party is a complete joke and it is no wonder the state is lost.

CO is deep purple trending blue. Immigration has changed the demographics of the state. It has gone Dem the last three Presidential elections. Trump got 43% of the vote in 2016. Prior to 2008, CO went Rep in 9 out the last 10 elections. CO is gone.

Who did Cory support on Nov 5 2016? Did he support Trump over Hillary ? Or did he stay neutral?

The CO Republican Party is a complete joke. That, coupled with the fact that we have been Californicated by Boulder and Denber, and aided by a professionally corrupt group of leaders in both “people’s” cities, we have what we have.

However, we’re watching Illinois. If they manage to kick Chitcago out, then we will look to do the same with our two future sh*ities.

Did Gardner endorse Trump against Hillary in the 2016 general election?

I remember watching on TV a Trump rally from Denver right before the election. I think Rep. Ken Buck was there. Didn’t see Gardner though. Most of the speakers were no-names from around the area, apparently unconnected to the local GOP

gardner tried to play it neutral in the end, he was not a vocal supporter of Trump and certainly not MAGA. After the bush tape was released, gardner was out front calling for Trump to drop out.

Yep, he’s a POS and worthless. I received a couple of emails a few years ago asking for money to fight Obamacare. I called his office and said “What the hell do you think we elected you for? You have the gall to ask for money to fight for what we elected you to do? Go to hell”.

So he was neutral between Trump and Hillary? Meaning it didn’t matter to him whether Hillary was elected or not, it was all the same to him?

If that’s true, why aren’t the Republicans demanding another candidate and telling Cory to take a hike?

I honestly don’t know. From what I could gather watching Tt, Cory was absent from the Trump rally in Denver right before the 2016 election. At least Cory didn’t go onstage and speak

Are you a Cory fan?

That is the Colorado republican party for you. They are bush republicans through and through, and they are incompetent at even that.

he is 100% on trump judges.

the circular firing squad/purity test FReepers need to understand; if we lose the senate, we lose the judges, and we rubber stamp the socialist agenda coming out of the house of representatives.

this is important.

Open borders Republicans like Cory are the party’s executioners. As Coulter says, if we lose on immigration, all other issues are lost

Shoot after the last election, it’s not even close to purple. Everything went blue. It has been fully Calimexifornicated though there are pockets of conservatism. There are just not enough republicans, independents to turn it red. Gardner will not win re-election. The dems will not cross over to vote for him as a reward for his never trump behavior. The dems will vote for a dem period.
