Coming from a guy who has spent most of his life in the western part of the country, I'm a little sympathetic to Joe. But if I were running for president, I'd have a staffer brief me on the local town, giving me an overview, and have 3×5 cards on the podium, because nothing says "loser" like forgetting where you are.
They could tape it on the back of a guitar, like they did for drug-addled 70’s musicians on tour.
