This idea has been kicking around for 50 years. I am sure studies have done on the subject, not sure if it is feasible. Good thing for the President to contemplate because you never know till you ask.

I just nuked a potato in my microwave oven, it has acquired new usage as a term meaning “to apply a lot of energy to”.
I worked for the Govt. of Puerto Rico during 1998's Hurricane Georges. This idea floated in our office.
I once asked my science teacher if it might be possible to set off a bunch of nuclear bombs on one side of the earth to send it off orbit.
He looked at me as if I was crazy, but then told me to try it and report back.

Even if it does nothing to disrupt the hurricane it still sounds like a really good idea.
Plan on a steady stream of stories like this leading up to the 2020 election, designed to lead the casual observer to believe the president has gone around the bend.

This has to be fake news and I don’t think Trump asked the question. Perhaps someday we will be able to control these hurricanes but it will certainly not be via a radioactive bomb. :-)
