Excuse the foul assessment, but they thought that President Trump would roll over and take it in the rear like every other American President and diplomat that they have screwed over. Will President Trump get any credit for beating the commie bastards at their own game? Not in the mainstream media, but he is truly looking out for the best interests on the United States.

Well, Mr. Liu I think I see part of the problem right here. You don't and you won't.

You lie.

According to fake news machine, China has blinked 12 times since the trade war started.

IMO it’s too late now.

If they wanted fair terms, they should have accepted them when those terms were offered, then adhered to them.

“Fair trade terms with China” is no longer a sufficient national objective. They clearly have it out for us and have made themselves our enemy.

The goal I would now seek as the end of foreign policy is to destroy the economy of China and return them to where they were before they started feeding off our flesh and blood, with the ultimate objective of ending Communism there.

[ “We are willing to resolve the issue through consultations and cooperation in a calm attitude and resolutely oppose the escalation of the trade war,” Liu, who is President Xi Jinping’s top economic adviser, said, according to a government transcript. ]

Heh those dates are coming. They know what’s at stake.

First tier is September 15?

The president “ordering” companies out of China was the winning strategy. I think that jolted them into reality, at least for now.

HA HA.

No. They’ll not agree to trade fairly. They almost did once but walked away and reneged on the deal. They’ll do it again.

Screw them. Make them pay dearly with a drain of manufacturing, cash, and brains.

Thank you President Trump! Those jobs ARE coming back. No magic wand needed... just know-how and the balls to stand up to most of the world

“U.S. companies are especially welcome in China, and will be treated well, Liu said.
We welcome enterprises from all over the world, including the United States, to invest and operate in China,” he added.
That wasn’t a BLINK. That’s just inviting more companies to leave the U.S. and operate in China. Raise the bleeping tariffs!

They blinked a week or so ago. Of course, you won’t know about it unless you dig deeply.

The government made a statement to the effect that they would probably not allow the yuan to slide any further.

White flag flapping.

The math will never work for them. The US is 5% of China’s economy; China is 1% of the US economy.

We are willing to resolve the issue through consultations and cooperation in a calm attitude

Which is what they always whine and snivel about wanting - just before they renege on the agreement that results and shove the blade in our back.

China is not blinking.China is playing the same game they have played for the last 30 years and that is to run out the clock.

I would like to see President Trump hammer them hard by banning the transfer of any American technology to them.

That would really hit their economy hard.

China says it wants a ‘calm’ resolution to ongoing trade war with U.S. (China Blinks?)

__________

"China blinks" if this report is true. I pray that it is true.
