Arizona -(Ammoland.com)- Did you know that there are more fatal accidents involving children and bicycles than there are involving children and guns?
It is documented in the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) fatal injury database.
As you can see from the illustration, for the last 19 years, from 1999 to 2017, there were 2,467 children killed in fatal accidents involving bicycles, versus 1,994 children killed in fatal accidents involving a firearm.

I think it would be more appropriate to facetiously say that cars would be the ones banned not the bicycles. The car is typically hit the bikes and caused deaths however bicycles hit things it might be injuries but typically not deaths.
Bikes and bathtubs kill piles of people. But guns make loud noises, so they get the attention.
8/21 and 8/25 there were college mass shootings in Atlanta. Why so littlecoverage of them?
This is a question on the test. Who can pass the test?
if only David Hogg after hearing a gun shot hit a car on his bicycle on his way to the high school. he would be banning bicycles /s
The majority of bicycling deaths are due to head injuries and lack of wearing a helmet. They wouldn’t be nearly so dangerous if parents weren’t ignoring the threat and forced their children to wear helmets.
No, helmet laws don’t work because cops don’t enforce them.
“But guns make loud noises, so they get the attention.”
Baths and bikes are not used to stop government tyranny
This even with helmets and knew and arm pads.
Illegal drugs kill even more and they’re already banned.,
There’s only so much government can do and when they try it almost always makes things worse.
” 2,467 “
Where did this number come from?
Does that include just assault bikes, stealth bikes, high-capacity bikes, or suppressed bikes like tricycles?
I believe More children Drown in Mop Buckets and Buckets of Water than All Shootings, Maybe we should Ban Water?
This, it's hard to say this is just due to headgear and pads.
A couple of other theories that may hold merit include 1) kids are on their bikes less, and thus fatalities by total miles traveled could be flat, 2) there are more bike paths where kids tend to ride, meaning fewer chances to be struck by a car per mile traveled.
New law needed, to require bicycles to have pop-sickle sticks on the wheel spokes. Make 'em loud and heard!
Reminds me of my judo training when I was young. Teacher had us run, jump over 8 to 10 guys, dive and roll back to our feet, and then lay down on the floor for others to jump. Sucked to be at the end and get hit.
