In Tennessee you cannot be forced to pay for a red light ticket. They can send you official looking letters (always by first class mail so they can never prove you received a notice) with threatening sounding language, but there isn’t a thing they can do if you don’t pay but send you another letter.

They can send you official looking letters (always by first class mail so they can never prove you received a notice) with threatening sounding language, but there isnt a thing they can do if you dont pay but send you another letter. Not exactly true. They report unpaid tickets as unpaid bills to the credit bureaus. Not a big deal if you don't mind your credit score going down.
