I want the same things that all you hotheads want.

But everything has to be exactly right before you go to indictments, much less go to trial.

As an astute FReeper noted on another thread, indicting these evildoers and seeing them acquitted would be worse than not indicting them at all.

I agree.

I am no kind of cockeyed optimist, not even on weekends and holidays. But the level of defeatism I read on these threads is really getting to me.

The wheels of justice grind slowly, and we’re still at an early stage in what promises to be a long game. The fact that so little has been accomplished so far says less about the game itself than about the unrealistic expectations of some observers.

Make that “many observers.”

Trump has an exceptional sense of timing and misdirection. I wouldn’t be surprised if he viewed prosecutions at this time as having some backfire potential — i.e. better to run on his economic record rather than risk corruption trials becoming a distraction from his daily dismantling of Lizzie Warren or whichever mental patient the RATs nominate.

Then again, I don’t talk to DJT, so I don’t know what he’s thinking. But I offer the above scenario as an illustration of a policy that might not be to our liking but still has sound reasoning behind it.

Don’t get the impression that I’m happy with what’s going on or somehow underestimate the threat to our Republic and its Constitution. I’m just operating on a much different time horizon than what seems to be a majority of FReepers.

Well, that’s my view, expressed with force but without profanity. Go ahead and hate me for it — and hate me for refusing to follow the herd on these threads. Ask Jim Robinson to ban me for being a heretic.

But I will say this — it’s too early to say that Trump is beaten and America is beaten. So get a grip on your emotions, soldiers.

I can’t possibly know what is going through Trump’s mind, but I do know this: If he listened to people who post here on Free Republic, he would have dropped out of the 2016 race at least two dozen times.

Yours is a very well-stated and reasoned view. The crimes have always been focused in the FISA frauds and abuses as they unleashed the Obama’s ability to do the severe damage of getting inside the Trump campaign with spies and ability to ‘create’ crimes within Trump’s organization. Barr emphatically stated inn front of Congress that he believed there was spying on the Trump campaign. Nothing that has come out to date addresses the spying. That is where the real war is engaged.

What I see is the foundation of corruption in the FBI and DoJ being presented very carefully to support the basis of indictments still to come. This will be one hell of a war and Barr will fight it with proper preparation and plenty of ammunition.

I disagree with that. I say "it depends."

The real point should be to flip the public attitude. OJ Simpson escaped conviciton, but the public believed he was guilty. That outcome for this coup would be fine with me. The case has to be strong, easy enough to understand, the evidence damning, the trials very public - prime time entertainment.

I don't expect the law to provide justice. The law is an ass. In fact, the law was used as a tool to facilitate the coup - the law itself was used as a weapon to do harm to the public. Plenty of people inside the system are involved in this abuse of power.

Thank you for sharing this great insight.
I so hope that what you are saying comes to pass.
That once everything comes together that justice will be served.

You spoke in such a decent manner.
Well done!

I don’t hate you and I agree.

If they are taking down the powers in DC, they had better dot every i and cross every t.

I suspect people will be in deep trouble. Who knows, perhaps some are in on the Swamp activities. “Those who scream the loudest” comes to mind.

I knew it existed but had no concept of how deep and vast it’s filthy tentacles go. Lots of pay to play in very evil games. Time to pay the Piper.

Nothing will discourage us from seeking justice.

You do realize that all of this is predicated on the re-election of President Trump — which is by no means guaranteed — right? If he’s not, all of this goes away.

Hence the sense of urgency...

I agree with you. The wheels of justice grind slowly but exceedingly fine. Went to the range yesterday with my brother-in-law. He had a roll of old 2012 Barry_UAW shirt stickers that we used to cover up the bullet holes for the next round. We got a lot of use out of that target. Slepted good last night.

If Trump was thinking that, he should take a look at threads like this and listen to conservative talk radio because the base is not happy, AT ALL, with what we don't see happening and it is going to cost him votes if it doesn't change. Truth be told, I am extremely disheartened that Epstein is dead and that will not change. Trump should have given an order that Epstein gets the same security as Trump because we want justice served on not just Epstein but also the powerful and wicked men preying on YOUNG GIRLS and destroying souls. If I had to bet my life, I'd say Trump made a political decision there also to turn his head and let Epstein be killed (and the investigation) and that infuriates me. I am sorry. I know on one side Trump is doing great things. But justice has to be paramount in any civil society. And if little girls being raped and the attempted overthrow of the government is allowed to go unpunished (especially at the highest levels), on this issue I say Trump has done us and this great country a terrible disservice.

Question:

Although the DOJ has “declined to prosecute” at this time, could that change once their work is complete, prosecute all of it at one time?

Well analyzed and stated. I’m with you. Time will tell for all and any of us if the Deep State runs the country or we do have a system of justice.
