Maybe Liz looks like a younger Hillary. I’d rather listen to her than drama queen Booker.

I see a sort of problem here.

I followed Trump in 2015. Many folks who would want to follow Trump did so years ago.

Aren’t his numbers saturated already, so his new followers becoming smaller than they would otherwise be, if he were a new candidate.

Granted he does have a massive lead. In light of the dynamic I mentioned, his follower base growth is pretty impressive.

That’s why total followers is important. The fact that Trump to s still adding considerable numbers is a good thing

I don't know for sure but I think a lot of Trump's current follower growth is coming from overseas. Now that Trump is a global figure, he is now growing his base from areas outside the U.S.

I will see if I can find out the breakdown of nations that Trump's Twitter support is coming from. Yes, one would think that Trump's Twitter support would be saturated here in the U.S.

Thanks for the responses.

I hadn’t thought of overseas support. Interesting take on it.

I think your idea to do this was a good one, and I appreciate seeing the results, and the time you spent putting it together and presenting it to us SamAdams76.

Their respective Twitter followings may illuminate the choices the DNC thugs made for who stays in the Demwit debates and who doesn't.

President Trump now has more Twitter followers than 2016 voters!

But still not as many voters as he will need in 2020....

Funny to see Yang has almost as many followers as Heels Up Harris.

Interesting that Walsh is the only one with a campaign slogan in the name of his accout.
Interesting that Walsh to the right of Trump had 3 times more followers than Weld, to the left of Trump.

Weld should quit now and avoid further embarrassment. Nobody wants him. OHHH the media want him so they can build a narrative around Massachucetts Republicans.

Given his track record, we can expect Walsh to do stupid and self-destruct also ... without any help from Trump supporters.

A huuuge proportion of Trump’s base is not and has never been on twitter. I’m typical of them. Example. Wayne Allyn Root’s June 24, 2016 article that swung the Evangelical vote went viral in prayer lists of 25 and 45 names per list.

I will bet that more prayer lists were forwarded by email than by all the social media combined.

Even those Trump supporters who have a social media account.... how many and how often do they go to the big social media? My daughter gave me a Facebook account. I never go there. And she never goes to FB either.

As with the old telephone polls that missed people not sitting beside their landline, the new social media counts are interesting and informative. But not a complete picture.

I saw that Biden is trailing badly in donations also. He’s around 22mm and Bernie is around 46.

I think you’re right, and the same for Bernie.

This charting that Sam has done is so prescient because he’s been doing it so long that it shows the social media curiosity over the long haul of a US election WITHOUT the static of leading questions and samples polled. He’s getting straight from twitter users who choose to follow people. That is a non-twisted stat.
