Sounds like Cruz HIT A NERVE there. Obviously the Dems never want to talk about Chicago, but her reaction implies that they see it as a ‘family secret’, best kept that way.
What’s interesting is that she could have answered Cruz by saying something like: “Yes, we do have problems in Chicago with gang violence and we are continuing to do our best to fight it. However, this does not detract from the mass shootings that seem to be sweeping the country”
Something like the above would imply that they don’t fear the Chicago situation become viral - but apparently, that is exactly what they do fear. They want it ‘kept to themselves’.
Obviously, this is a good area to bring up, again and again.
“The problem is the person who wants to kill. We are producing people who want to kill in huge numbers. This is the problem we need to address.”
The issues that need to be addressed are the decline of morality, religion, and loss generally held standards for personal behavior. Add to that drug use, gang membership, and celebration of violence in the mass media (television, movies, video games, books). Throw in fatherless households and the absence of inspiring and moral male role models.
Liberals are responsible for most of the above and have no interest in reinstating standards or demanding personal responsibility.
Cruz needs to concentrate on Texas.
Its a big State and plenty to do.
How about visiting the districts which didn’t vote for him in 2016?

These rat cities, when their rat mayors turn out to be losers, just replace them with another rat. Nothing changes. The real problem is that democrat politicians are no good at running things and are only accomplished at wealth transfers.

Then why isn’t there the same level of gun crimes in those states?
This is a cultural issue, not a gun issue.
This intellectual feat is why Chicago is the way it is.
Problem with “getting felons off the street” in Chicago: felons have girlfriends, baby momas, mothers and other relatives — and they vote.
It screws up your narrative about universal gun confiscation in America, right Princess Mayor? LOL! Your town is a dump and you socialists piggies made it that way.
Maybe the Mayor should tend to her own backyard and go spend some time in the Chicago hot zones. Of course, that wouldn’t be Rat political.
The black-on-black killings in major cities far outnumber mass killings but no one cares.
And how many of those guns which come from outside the state were stolen.
