“...a US federal judge ruled that an FBI terror watchlist was unconstitutional.”
Considering that some weenies in the gestapo FBI name veterans as potential “terrorists,” this is a good ruling.
The basis for the list and the information needed for “inclusion” should be refined to the point that the Moslems cannot win any argument if they are put on it.
The problem is that some of those listed were named by confidential informants whose identities cannot be disclosed because of the potential for death threats and assassination efforts being made against them.
The FBI and DHS have to do some really hard thinking on what criteria they will use to put someone on a “terrorist watch list” or a “no fly list”. Should have been done right at the beginning but our internal security system has been so gutted by a combination of the communists (CPUSA/SWP, etc), far-left liberals such as the ACLU, and ignorant Democrats starting in the 1960s, that we need to rethink the whole concept of internal security.
Unfortunately our so-called “top” FBI intelligence officials were off busy with their Deep State coup against the President to do their real jobs in counter-intelligence and internal security.
Having testified before a Senate intelligence committee (among others, including about events in S. Vietnam/Cambodia during the war), and having written extensively about the activities of the Marxist/Liberal Left against our Intell system, I can say that our Congress is more “RED” today than it was in the 1960’s when a new crop of Communist Party USA members and supporters got elected.
This decision must be fought with intelligence, by competent lawyers and intell agents/staffers, so that it will withstand any more court challenges.
