Trump plans Sept. 16 stop in Rio Rancho [NM]
The Albuquerque Journal ^ | September 6, 2019 | Dan Boyd and Dan McKay

SANTA FE – Donald Trump is coming back to New Mexico – three years after being greeted with big crowds and raucous protests during two Albuquerque campaign stops.

In his first visit to New Mexico as president, Trump will hold a campaign rally at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho on Sept. 16 – or more than 13 months before next year’s Election Day.

The event will likely put the national political spotlight on New Mexico – if just for a day – and could prompt large-scale protests like the ones that took place in 2016.

Trump’s campaign has asserted New Mexico could be “in play” for 2020 – though Trump lost the state in 2016 – and a senior campaign official reportedly said the president will highlight the state’s improving economy during his Rio Rancho rally.

“We have seen an economic boom in New Mexico since President Trump took office,” Michael Glassner, the chief operating officer of the Trump campaign, told The Hill newspaper.

He also cited New Mexico’s job growth under Trump – the state added nearly 20,000 non-farm jobs from July 2018 through this July – and said the president looked forward to “celebrating those successes” with New Mexicans.

However, Marg Elliston, chairwoman of the state Democratic Party, said Trump won’t find support in New Mexico for his “un-American agenda.”

“This president has built his administration on hateful policies and false promises,” she said. “Since the beginning of his campaign, he has been focused on attacking and demonizing many of the hardworking communities that make New Mexico so strong.”

The Santa Ana Star Center has a capacity of roughly 6,000 to 7,500 people, depending on the event.

In lite of all the evidence available to the contrary it takes someone with the intellect of an AOC Squad lieutenant or the dedication of a true anti-American Marxist to make a statement like that. But I repeat myself. Sorry.

Most of those are in the oil and gas industry and are contributing to an unprecedented surplus to the state treasury (~$1.2 billion dollars this year).

This is the same economic growth that the new left-wing radical enviromentalist governor, Michelle Lujan-Grisham, is trying to destroy with new regulations on the industry, proposing methane rules and legislation passed last spring that eliminates/prohibits fossil fuels from providing electric power to the state by 2045. New Mexico is #3 in the nation in oil and gas, and natural gas can't be given away, but she and the Rat legislature want everything to be powered by slice & dice windmills and mega-acreage covering solar panels.

Well, I’ll see if I can convince Mrs. TTR to make a 3 hour drive from Rui.

Concho (a client, sadly) has had enough of Sante Fe and is selling most or all of its Lea County acreage. Concho is the largest producer in the state.

The BLM and asshats in Sante Fe finally wore them down.

It’s cheaper to drill the same rock 50 miles east.

May I ask which hardworking communities Trump attacked and demonized? A list of names please.

Names? Of course, in the Rat’s minds, every time he makes a reference to the invasion at the border and the need for security and the border wall, it’s automatically an attack on the the Hispanic and illegal immingrant communities.

In 1961 my parents bought two side by side corner lots in Rio Rancho when it was nothing but a sales office in the desert.

Yes, the same oil and gas jobs that Fauxahontas has vowed to get rid of if she were to become president...which just about seals her fate of not becoming president, IMO.

Marg Elliston,

I hate to be the one to say it, but: New Mexico is not strong. New Mexico is beautiful but broken. Awash in drugs, culturally bankrupt. Broken families living with self imposed violence. Knifing, stabbing, shooting each other. Marge have you never driven down Central ave after dark? You know what I mean Marge. That Central ave. The one next to UNM. That bastion of liberal thought, socialism and poverty. New Mexico is astonishingly poor. Poor after decades of left wing leadership. Marge. It’s time to try a different way. But that means dismantling the power network of Democrat controlled everything. But why not. Democrats have failed each other while enriching themselves. Why not try something else? Try Trump. Dismantle the existing powerful political systems and start fresh?

I know yiu don’t want that. You prefer your poor, ignorant drug addled constitutes. They don’t know or care that you are stealing from the public treasury.

Partner, this Marg Elliston has spoken like a true Marxist member of the Rat Party.

It really sounds like Marg Elliston is a quart low! or she can not write anything that is worth the paper it is written on or she can not walk and chew gum at the same time!

The economy of the state of N.M. has grown under President Trump but the economy of N.M. was in bad shape under the policies of the "America Hating Piece of Work Obama".

Partner, we know a lot of folks who live in N.M. want a Southern Border Wall which will be a protection from the Illegal Alien Invasion and job stealing of Illegal Aliens in N.M. The Border Wall does not exist right now but it is too slowly being built. We have waited so long for that Border Wall.

Right now, the folks in N.M. get Illegals from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and other Central American countries. We know they are bringing a lot of criminals and disease from these corrupt countries.

If the Southern Border Wall 30' high from San Diego to the Big Bend National Park is built then it will be a huge start to eliminating the Illegal Alien Invasion from Mexico to the U.S.

I hope a lot of Hispanics show up for the rally. Also, the President needs to highlight how the Dim legislature and the new radical left-wing governor are trying to kill the oil and natural gas industry even though it provides greater than 35% of income to the state. Lots of killing the Golden Goose stories can be told that hope he will repeat.

Partner, there will be a lot of Hispanics that will vote for President Trump, since President Trump is the only person I can recall that has kept his promises.

President Trump is a high energy president and personal, I think that Hispanics in N.M. will vote for President Trump.

We could not believe this Far Left Gov. was even elected by the folks in N.M. We know that N.M will have solid border wall that is 30' tall along their border with Mexico.

Partner, this far left Gov. of N.M. did not even know that the oil and gas industry is very big in N.M. right now. There are many good paying jobs that it provides the citizens of N.M. You would think that a Gov. of a State would this little fact.
