We negotiated with North Vietnam. Of course all know what happened there -- All those people died. Same will happen when we leave Afghanistan

Yes, Osama -- hiding with the Taliban -- concocted his plan (a clever if far-fetched one, using his background as a mechanical engineer) to bring down the WTC using kamikazes and jet fuel.

But it was OUR insane immigration system that let them do it. We didn't have to let those 19-20 in, with 12 overstaying their visas, and 8 of them (including Atta) stopped by law enforcement while their visas were expired -- and not detained or deported.

It’s not Vietnam. People saying it lack perspective. 17 troops died in Afghanistan in 2017. 12,316 died in Vietnam in 1967.
So the Administration’s plan was to meet with the Taliban on US soil the same week as 9/11?
