So I was at my bi-weekly shawl meeting at church (I crochet anything on the planet, which my dog then eats....more on this in a later post)and one of our attendees got into a conversation.
We rarely talk politics because this is in Lewes, Delaware, a lovely first town in the first state but very liberal. I mention something about Bernie Sanders....
“I LOVE BERNIE SANDERS!!!” she shouted with great joy. Then she went on to tell us how she happened to be at a Sanders convention in Vermont and got a picture with Bernie!!!!
Well I smiled and told her, with as much excitement as I could garner, that she should bring the pic at next meeting.
She said she would and so Biden’s bleeding eyeballs were in the news so I asked her if she so adored Sanders, what did she think about Biden.
“I LOVE BIDEN!!!” she said with even more excitement.
She’s a real nice lady but she has the IQ of a turtle.
Folks, America has a bunch of these dummies.

Unless Pence is really planning on jumping into the Kansas Senate race. If that's the case then he'd better do it soon. Roger Marshall just announced his candidacy and he'll start sucking up all the support.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY’S DISGRACE
Montgomery County, Maryland is taking criticism for enabling rapists. As I discussed here, at least seven illegal immigrants were arrested and charged with sexual crimes during a six week period this summer.
Montgomery County enables rape and other crimes by illegal immigrants by refusing to cooperate with the federal government in removing criminal illegals. For example, Rodrigo Castro-Montejo, a Salvadoran national living in the U.S. illegally, was arrested in Montgomery County and charged with second-degree rape and second-degree assault. ICE placed a detainer request on Castro-Montejo, but the request was ignored and he was released from custody the following day.
We’re a sanctuary county, don’t you know.
In response to criticism the County has received, our idiot County Council issued this statement:
Montgomery County is committed to building and maintaining a safe and inclusive community for our residents. Understanding, tolerance, and respect are hallmarks of Montgomery County. Social justice for all is what we strive to achieve in our County.

WHO PUT THESE PEOPLE IN OFFICE??!! AND KEEPS RE-ELECTING THEM??!! LOCO MOCO! The imbecile, OBTUSE statement they released is a reflection of what much of the dominant electorate there believes. The wealthy in MoCo, unaffected by this policy, are fine with it (SOCIAL JUSTICE FOR ALL, including illegal-alien rapists). It sounds great. Most others there, perhaps those even skeptical of the policy, vote democrat anyway for other reasons (their own perceived interests). I left there years ago, AND GOOD RIDDANCE! 1

Montgomery county Merryland is a strange berg.
First, it is a very RICH area. Most of those residents work in nearby DC for the gubmint. Gubmint jobs pay very well round these parts.
But yes, the county also has a very large criminal population.
In short, Montgomery county is EXACTLY what the liberals want it to be. The rich people live in gated communities and work for the gubmint. The poor resort to robbing local stores and businesses from boredom and need for cash for drugs.
Note....THERE IS NO MIDDLE CLASS IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY MERRYLAND!!!

My most notorious of Montgomery county is when I once managed a shopping center in the county. The two infamous zero-burger snipers that showed up after 9-11 were working big time in Montgomery county Merryland.
And yours truly had to go to the shopping center to pick up the rent. We were told to run in zig-zag fashion when out in open areas.
So there I did, parked my car on the parking lot and zig-zagged running across the lot.
No one shot at me but the Chinese restaurant did not pay the rent that day I almost sacrificed my life.
The Chinese....did you know they lie, people? “We will pay next week,” they told me even though they made good money.
Montgomery county....the picture of what the liberals want America to become.

The other thing about Hurricanes that we full time residents know is that the thing to watch is the total footprint of the storm. Just because the eye is in one place doesn’t mean that you are unaffected.
With a projected path across Florida mid central to north and the size of this storm including multiple states is common.... Trump was illustrating the size, not predicting any final landing etc...
The other thing often reported on for viewership is the maximum gust vs the effect on the perimiter.
Being 70 miles from Grand Bahama we experienced a max gust of 50.... Cat 1 is 75 so even though the Hurricane was reported as a 5 the actual impact area received lesser wind effects.
Rain was less than a tropical storm. A welcomed relief.
These continued even when the storm was up in the Jacksonville area. 200+ miles from our location.
Hurricanes are unpredictable and the better you prepare the safer you will be.
That said the islands affected are where we routinely boat to and our Grady White Boating club is in the midst, like many other organizations, of getting help to our friends who we have known for over 10 years...
It will take years for them to rebuild, and future storms can impact slow them down even more...
