I’ve got about a dozen. Three are for self defense. Some are for hunting. Some are for an out of control government. That is what the 2nd Amendment is addressing. To say the founders didn’t see the guns of the future is like saying we can’t see laser and other type guns today.
I have a female band mate who grew up in Ithaca, the City of Evil, New York and is a borderline communist. Her Prius is plastered with stupid liberal political stickers. One of them says, "If you need 30 bullets to kill a deer, you need to go fishing." I don't have the heart to inform her of the main reason that people feel the need to have all those bullets.
