On Friday’s “CNN Newsroom,” Senator Chris Coons (D-DE), who has endorsed 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden, stated that 2020 presidential candidate former Representative Beto O’Rourke’s (D-TX) statement that he will take away certain guns “will be played for years at 2nd Amendment rallies with organizations that try to scare people” and that O’Rourke’s statement isn’t a smart move for policy or politics.
Coons said, “I frankly, think that that clip will be played for years at 2nd Amendment rallies with organizations that try to scare people by saying Democrats are coming for your guns. I’m a gun owner. My sons and I have gone skeet shooting and hunting, and frankly, I don’t think having our presidential candidates, like Congressman O’Rourke did, say that we’re going to try and take people’s guns against their will is a wise, either policy or political move.”

Yep, he’s right. That clip will be run against every democrat from the Presidential nominee on down to the city counsel candidate in every rural county in the nation.
Coons is just ticked off that Beano let the cat out of the bag.

Rep. Coons should be ashamed of himself, especially as a dedicated Democrat.
Skeet shooting puts pounds of lead into an already damaged environment.
this guy is attempting damage control over Butt-edge-edge’s truthful statement of DNC intentions.
But most Democrats agree privately with O’Rourke that the end goal is for the state at least to outlaw possession of the weapons, if not actually take them, because most Democrats see the weapons rightfully as a source of power held by their worst enemy, Christians. And disempowering Christians is now a party plank for the Democrats.
By outlawing possession, armed Christians will be forced to hide their weapons and stop openly propagandizing the 2nd amendment.
Furthermore, when guns are outlawed, the most dangerous armed Christians will be susceptible to lengthy imprisonment at a moment’s notice. If a Christian gets ornery against a Democrat sheriff, the sheriff just has to find a misdemeanor or a contrived suspicion and raid the Christian’s home. Once the gun is found, the Christian is removed as a threat.

Yeah, it's just those pesky 2A organizations trying to scare people and rile them up. It has nothing to do with what he actually said. Remember, those Democrats are really good people and we can trust them. Just remember that McCain said Obama was really a good guy and we shouldn't fear him.

I think he and Buttigieg are failing so spectacularly that they are both trying to Willie Horton white gun owners. They are both hoping that someone will lose their cool and give them the gift of relevance.

Too bad, ol’ Coonskin; the train has left the station, the horse is out of the barn, the goose is cooked, the fat is in the fire, and the cat is out of the bag.
Beto’s words are an Albatross hung around the neck of every Democrat from here to 2020 and beyond.
Why? Because no one, not even one Democrat at that debate last night, disagreed nor disavowed what Beto said. They ALL want confiscation; Beto is only the tip of the iceberg.
In other words, if they want war, they’ll get war.
The Democrats ARE coming for our guns. Beto said it last night and got cheers from the Democrats in the audience. And no other Democrat on stage denounced it.
