My father had a health insurance plan, and my mother used to write the checks to the doctor right then and there. The bills were reasonable, and the care was excellent.
The doctor and his two fellow doctors practiced in the same office, and they shared exactly one administrator between them.
Today, there are less and less doctors, nurses, and practitioners - but a TON of keyboard pushers, middle men/women, slackers, takers, and do-nothings in health care.
I know people who work in long-term care for seniors, and they describe a nightmare where everyone is afraid of lawsuits, the orderlies refuse to do their jobs, the managers don't discipline the orderlies but instead hide in their offices, and the nurses have to pick up the orderlies' and managers' slack.
Yep. Fed gov has been gradually taking control of healthcare (17% of our economy, a big juicy peach), in conjunction with big healthcare. Obamacare put that on steroids.
Healthcare, pubic education, entitlements, alien insurgency, patents, property regs, mpg/toilet/light bulb/gas can regs...runaway fed gov crap.
