Theodore Dalrymple, a British psychiatrist, perfectly describes this societal disintegration in his excellent books entitled “Life at the Bottom” and “Our Culture: What’s Left of It”.
Did he offer a solution, I wonder?
My mind tells me the solution is:
STOP BEING AFRAID TO FACE EVIL.
whether it be your home with visiting relatives who have NO PROOF for what they accuse our President of being, whether it is in your community where we dare not slap certain bumper stickers on our cars, whether it be at local council meetings where weird local laws are discussed, or whether it be at a rally where you are told not to wear a certain color.
STAND UP AGAINST the broken window, before the house collapses.
I hope Mr. Dalrymple wrote something like that.
