There shouldn’t be boots on the ground. We’ll just use bombs and missiles. Now that Bolton is gone who are we going to blame for going to war again? This attack on the Saudi oil refinery could be a way to increase the price of oil and upset the market. Even if we have plenty of our own supply the price will go up. If the Iranians are responsible for the attack,it can’t go unanswered. Remember that Russia is an ally of Iran and they would benefit from higher prices.

Oil was trading at about $32/barrel before the U.S. invaded Iraq in 2003.

Anyone who thinks a major U.S. military campaign in the Middle East is an effective tool to address high oil prices is delusional.
