A lefist president would had signed legislation to ban bumpstocks given an incident like Las Vegas. Fiurthermore the law would have contained other goodies.
So.. some infringement is ok as long as the gop has blessed it. The point is the bumpstock ban didn’t stop criminals from murdering and neither will any other law.
