Something must be done about Iran. Iran seems to operate with a certainty they are immune from attack, at least from us. This mindset must be changed and although I am dead set against our direct involvement I would favor a strong, very strong advisory roll in a partnership with the Saud’s so they may with our help wake up the Mullahs to the dangerous path they are on.

I am mindful this attack may have been designed to draw us into a direct confrontation with Iran in the hopes it will damage Trumps reelection efforts. No doubt the Iranian Mullahs want Trump gone as much as the Liberals and Eurowankers do.

It's global dominoes.

Think: the gas crisis in the early and the late 70's

I'm thinking its more about petro dollars and sinking the economy to prevent Trump from getting re-elected.

Ask yourself what happens when gas prices are too high? Think about: manufacturing and transportation of all goods and how high priced gas effects the price of goods and who pays those increases in cost when they make purchases.

People always change their willingness to spend when prices go up and that SLOWS the economy too.

Just my opinion.

Within 4 hrs of any Saudi attach on Iran, the entire Saudi oil infrastructure will be shut down by Iranian missiles. And the Strait of Hormuz will be shut to all traffic.

For a week or two.

If those two go at it, at least 20% of the world’s supply of oil will be taken off the market and gas in Houston will be $5/gal. $10 in Europe.

There is NO WAY the US could stay out of that fight.

very strong advisory roll in a partnership with the Saud’s

In the cauldron that is Middle Eastern politics and wars, nothing is more certain than the eventual fate of the al-Saud family.

My preferred posture with any enemies of the Saudis is neutrality. I would accept quiet approval of any of their enemies who would destroy them.

But backing them up? That is picking the wrong side, the side certain to lose, and it's plain and simple foolishness.

Iran is acting as if they are immune I suspect because they have their warheads completed. After all I heard they would have their nukes in 5 years 10 years ago.
