Panamas tanker, or a tanker registered in Panama? Seems like Liberia was once the place that everyone registered their ships. It has something to do with fees, taxes, and insurance... and yeah - many years ago it was almost always Liberia.

Rationality doesn't apply to Islamics. People read way too much into actions because they are trying to apply their own beliefs. The Iranians are 1) desperate to maintain their power structure, 2) fear only overwhelming and destructive force, 3) are emboldened by weak or lack of any response to their aggression, 4) fueled by an ideology of hatred, and 5) arguably do not have full control of all the military forces under their own command.
So yes they are provoking a response. Its their nature. They will only learn to stop $hitting by getting their nose rubbed in their own crap.

I nominate Luxembourg. You don't want to mess with the Luxembourg navy.
Curious, these war drums all of a sudden. Whether Iran was actually behind the refinery attack or not will become clearer shortly. But with this, they're clearly trying to provoke a reaction, almost as if somebody is telling them "We've got your back." Somebody as in John Kerry, perhaps?

And yet God will use them to accomplish His purpose in the near future.

I was in high school back then. At the time, I had some military folks pushing me hard to pursue a nomination to one of the U.S. military academies.
My interest in a military career ended as soon as I read the reports from that Beirut attack ... particularly the details about the U.S. Marines ordered to stand guard at the gate with no ammunition in their weapons.
That pretty much sealed the deal for me -- because I realized that U.S. military leaders were as much a threat to the well-being of U.S. military personnel as Hezbollah was.

So far all the reporting of a seizure sources back to the Iranian government.

...and the result should be conclusive enough to last several generations, at least. 200 years from now, I want their children's children's children's children to cower and cringe in fear whenever they hear the sounds of jet engines overhead because their legends tell of fire from the sky.
I want them to hide in dark caves and holes in the earth, shivering with terror whenever they hear the roar of diesel engines because the tales of their ancestors talk about metal monsters crawling over the earth, spitting death and destruction.
I want their mothers to be able to admonish them with "If you don't behave, the Pale Destroyers will come for you", and that will be enough to reduce them to quivering obeisance.
I want the annihilation to be so complete that their mythology will tell them of the day of judgment when the stern gods from across the sea .. the powerful 'Mericans .. destroyed their forefathers' wickedness.

Consider it done. It takes exactly 0 hours.
