My mother didn’t believe I was an innocent victim. She said I had to have “invited it” somehow. I was ten! And it was summer, so I had just turned ten.
I am so sorry - it is a horrible thing to not be believed when you are telling the truth, whether you were the one who was violated OR you are the one who is being falsely accused of something you did not do!!
The fact that anyone would play politics with a subject like this makes my absolutely furious!
(And despite the idiotic comment posted to you, yes, it IS a big deal, which is why I am sick that someone would lie about it for any reason!)
