Attempted being the key word.
They didn’t go light.
They went with guns.
They lost the gunfight.

The racial makeup of the city of Conyers was 24.3% White, 55.8% African American, 0.2% Native American, 1.4% Asian, 0.5% from other races, and 1.5% from two or more races. Hispanics or Latinos of any race were 16.3% of the population.
Changing the demographic?
Considering the demographics of the town, over half black and 16% Hispanic there is a good chance that this is black on black shooting and one wonders what brought three armed gomers to this house. The householder was certainly within his/her rights to practice self defense but one does wonder if there were drugs or gang squabbling involved. Forgive my cynicism but I live near New Orleans.
Three less future problems.
Wow. The 2 dead kids they have shown are gay as hale.
They count on waving a gun around and a few random shots to properly intimidate their victims.
It usually works. But there are other times when they run up against a citizen who has not only armed himself but has also trained.

Now that’s funny!
One of the stories out of Conyers said the shooter was a truck driver who was rarely home and the house belonged to his elderly mother. Now that doesn’t mean that one of her grandchildren wasn’t dealing from her house, just that there is probably more to the story.
Saw this story on several websites. One commenter wanted to know why any homeowner would be outside at 0400, unless they were up to no good. Obviously someone without a clue. There are many reasons that someone might be outside their own home in the early hours. I used to get off work at 0300 and would need time to wind down before going to bed. Have finally retired and sometimes I sit on our front porch reading on my iPad or listening to the train. Can’t count the number of times we have gotten home from trips in the middle of the night. But biggest of all is “My house, my business and none of yours”.
I try to remember that there's always someone out there who's crazier and/or more skilled than I am. Doubt that this ever entered their alleged minds.
They can still vote demoncrat, so it's not a total loss.
