Mark Levin: If Something Serious Isn’t Done, Iran Will Take This Attack as a First Step
CNS News ^ | September 17, 2019 | Michael Morris

Posted on 09/17/2019 7:42:12 PM PDT by Kazan

On his nationally syndicated radio talk show “The Mark Levin Show” on Monday, host Mark Levin warned that if something serious isn’t done, Iran will take this attack as a first step.

“I will say this, if something isn’t done, something serious and significant isn’t done respecting Iran, they’re going to take this as a first step,” stated Mark Levin. “I’m just telling you. They’re going to take this as a first step. So, we’ll see what happens.”

Mark Levin’s comments came after a Saudi Arabian oil facility was attacked by “cruise missiles and drones,” FOX News reported, that “were launched from Iranian soil,” and after Iran seized control of another oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.

Below is a transcript, in pertinent part, of Mark Levin’s remarks from his show on Monday:

“The Iranians are not going away.

“So what should the president do? Short of military action – and I’m not saying we should be short of military action, but if we are – what should we do? Should we lift our sanctions? No. There are five areas of waivers that the secretary of state’s office has argued should not be lifted, that is, they shouldn’t be imposed on Iran. Will the secretary of state change his mind now? I hope. There needs to be a lot of pressure on Iran.

“I read an article the other day – I don’t know if it’s right or not – that Iran’s pension funds are about to collapse, including with the military. Isn’t that a good thing? Wouldn’t that be great?

“So why would we give them a $15 billion bridge loan?

“Remember the gentleman who called last week? He had been from Eastern Europe, I believe. No, he was from France, I think – originally, now an American. He said, ‘Do you remember how Khomeini would up in Iran? Because the French government released him.’ The French make very, very stupid foreign policy decisions, which is why they’re a second- and third-tier country. I don’t think we need to be taking advice from Macron, who’s got 27 percent popularity in France, and has no background on anything, no background on anything.

“So the Iranians are pirates on the open sea. They took another oil tanker yesterday.

“If you go on the internet – you won’t read this in many newspapers because the media are the media – you’ll see they’re kidnapping British and Australians and others left and right now.

“This attack on Saudi Arabia should grab your attention because of its accuracy, the devastation and the technology involved.

“And as I told you before, maybe Rand Paul is not aware of this, the fifth fleet is harbored in Bahrain. Should we withdraw? Should we pull back? How about with China? They took over the South China Sea with their fake islands. Should we withdraw, pull back? Should we take our subs off of the Korean peninsula, remove them too? Where should we go? Where should we go? Just keep pulling back and back and back and let these various threats and enemies grow and grow and grow?

“Rand Paul asked a question over the weekend: ‘Why are we in Afghanistan?’ Is this guy an idiot? Does anybody know why we went into Afghanistan? Anybody? Everybody knows why we went into Afghanistan. Because the Taliban gave safe harbor to Al Qaeda and Bin Laden, and if we take all of our troops out of Afghanistan, what do you think is going to happen?

“I mean, how many more times do we have to lose Americans, heroes, blood to go back and fight the same battles, go back and fight over the same territory? It’s— At one point we had over 140,000 troops in Afghanistan. We’re down to 14,000. We have about anywhere from 1,500 to 2,200 special forces in Syria. We have minimal presence in Iraq.

“We’re not an invading army. We’re not going to war with these countries. We’re trying to make sure we’re not attacked – yes, from 7,000 miles away – that we’re not attacked. We’re not colonialists. We’re not conquerors.

“I will say this, if something isn’t done, something serious and significant isn’t done respecting Iran, they’re going to take this as a first step. I’m just telling you. They’re going to take this as a first step. So, we’ll see what happens.

“But right now they’re controlling events – not the world – they’re controlling events.”

Obama was supporting the Islamic state in Syria - a Sunni force that Saudi initially created. The Islamic status espouses the same Sunni Wahabbism.

That’s not really true - outside of Lebanon, the focus on Iran has actually helped the Ayatollahs stay in power.

Right from 1958 with Mossadegh, we’ve messed up the relationship. Then Carter abetting the rise of the Ayatollahs.

Then the Gulf War one which gave the Ayatollahs a third chance at life by taking out their biggest enemy - Saddam

As much as I admire Mark Levin and share his domestic and much of his foreign policy, I am not foolish enough to call into his program expecting a debate. Levin does not debate, he interrupts, he belittles he cuts off the hapless caller.

Respecting his foreign policy: wherever it touches upon Israel he works backwards from the protection of Israel. Other people who do that are called neocons.

His policy towards China, in my humble judgment, is about right. Overall, he remains the most effective and intelligent voice of constitutional conservatism in the popular media.

Gotta wonder if they’re nutty enough to do a first strike on Israel. Seems that they’d want it to be habitable. Or maybe that’s a secondary concern.

This part I agree with 10/10. Obama’s ROEs were treasonous.

How many of our soldiers were killed needlessly because of BO and his straightjacketing of them? That POS has so much blood on his filthy hands it’s making me nauseous just thinking about it.

Commanders on the ground were literally forced to get some candy assed DC lawyer on the phone before they could return enemy fire.

If that doesn’t enrage you; you’re not a real American.

This.

Unlike his predecessors, President Trump has, thus far, been remarkably restrained about dragging us into stupid wars and inserting ourselves into conflicts that have been going on forever.

But, oh, while the media was obsessed with an aging hooker, our CIC did unleash our troops on ISIS; something BO could have done much more easily in the early ISIS formation days.

You may recall the dem histrionics about how Trump would launch global nuclear war on Inauguration Day.

Remember, they believe eliminating Israel will precipitate the return of their 12th Imam. These aren’t “normal” people.

Sometimes you have to wonder if the best time to hit them hasn’t already passed. I don’t see a lot of good outcomes going forward. Wresting power from the mullahs isn’t going to endear us to the rest of the Muslim world. As if anything would.

This could also be interpreted as a desperate last step, as they continue their descent into the trash bin of history.

Like I was saying yesterday, if we are going to go to war with Iran, let’s have a good, old fashioned, decisive war. Wreck their capitol, execute their leaders, kill as many as we technologically can with no restraint. Because that is exactly what they will be attempting no matter what we do. Put an end to problems that arise in Iran. Going forward we will surely have problems but they won’t be problems caused by Iran. If we aren’t going to actually make war let’s don’t pretend and just get a bunch of people killed for nothing.

Re post 5: Well, yeah.

Moreover, North America is now an energy colossus. Combined US/Canadian production of petroleum products exceeds demand on this continent. We are oil exporters. We are energy exporters. We don't need arab oil.

China and Europe, however, do need arab oil. China and the EU combined have a much larger economy than North America. Let them figure out how to secure their energy supplies and ensure the flow of oil that fuels their societies.

If this is the case then let the Brit's and the Aussie's spend their treasure and blood to fix the problem......

Iran wants another plane load of US cash and gold coins. They have probably been promised another shipment by our treasonous deep state that supplied them with billions of untraceable cash during obama. The left is trying to drag Trump into some kind of military action which will LOSE THE ELECTION FOR TRUMP. This is just a simple ploy to get Trump to do something that will in turn make him a one term president. Mark Levin is a brilliant constitutional lawyer and historian but he is an idiot when it comes to politics. There, I said it.

Two things guarantee Trump will not be reelected.

1. Gun control of anykind

2. Any kind of military conflict with Iran.

Part of the reason we invaded Iraq was that the Saudis were kicking us out of Saudi Arabia.
I don’t think ownership of some of their oil fields would be a good deal for us. That area is a dumpster fire. Let the Saudis do the bleeding.

The Saudis have a tidy income. Let them build or hire their own deterrent.
IF the Saudis don’t like what the Iranians are doing, there are plenty of oil terminals and pipelines for the Saudis to retaliate against.

Profile of a Freeper chicken hawk. A guy in his 50's or 60'sprobably ex military who was probably stationed in Hawaii or South Korea or on a ship in the Mediterranean. Less likely to get killed than you or I. Probably middle\middle class but envious of everyone else. Meaning hates people below him economically and looks with a suspicious and conspiratorial eye at everyone above him. Is a closet racists, but claims he has a "Black friend" , but would never allow his granddaughter and cheerleader Courtney Jennifer to date a "Black guy". Out of shape beer belly and wife secretly who would rather smother him with his dirty pillow, over his 5 day old growth beard face, than spend a another day listening to him blather on and sound like a total imbecile about politics at the dinner tray.

He loves his professional sports and lives vicariously through his hometown football team and spends Sundays on a bar stool with other morons drinking cheap flat beer yelling obscenities at the TV. 14 miniytes after game is over and the beer commercials he takes his .4 blood alcohol level blubbery ass back home to his house, which needs a paint job and to get his broken down Harley out of the garage. Kind of a sad Willie Loeman without any of the self actualization or real sense of any kind of true manhood and depth to him. He loves wars and seeing all that cool on YouTube footage shot in night vision of those 17 towel heads getting vaporized by Puff the Magic Dragon. He's disconnected from logic and his humanity. He may have a nephew in the service but what does he care, he served shuffling papers in Germany for 3 years that makes him a military expert and an authority on geopolitics. He comes here and spurts out sentence arrangements that sound somewhat cogent but he is probably better off just focusing on fixing my car right or making sure his the nuclear plant does not blow up.

I know that struck a chord with some of you keyboard tough guys, you know it's mostly true.
