According to the partial results, Likud and Kahol Lavan won each 32 out of 120 Knesset seats. Netanyahu's bloc, comprised of right-wing and ultra-Orthodox parties, currently stands at 56 seats. The center-left bloc, excluding Arab parties, has 43 seats.
Avigdor Lieberman, whose Yisrael Beiteinu party is projected nine seats, is expected to be the election's kingmaker. On Wednesday morning, he reiterated his support for a "broad liberal unity government," which would include Yisrael Beiteinu, Likud and Kahol Lavan.

Will Lieberman get his coalition?
Or will they have another election?
Lieberman is said to be an even bigger Hawk than Netanyahu.
I don’t know about these countries where alliances have to be formed to get a coalition govt etc.
I kinda like ours where we have the good guys and the bad guys :)
Though too often Rs don’t act like the good guys
Without question, the kids in Israel, and they apparently vote in large numbers, when bribed with flowery clothes, and plied with sugary drinks, vote heavily for Likud .
Keep praying!
I do not even begin to understand the Jewish voter mindset either in this country or in Israel.
Israel better watch out ,Iran is on the move
..................
Haaretz is now saying that Gantz’s party it the majority party, 32 seats to 31. Whether they can form a working coalition remains to be seen. Third election coming up?
Just think of it as them having multiple flavors of good guys and multiple flavors of bad guys, some more good or more bad than others.
Not for nothing, but it seems as if the Israeli form of government is screwed up.
You mean like professional wrestling?
Lieberman is in the catbirds seat winning nine. Both Kachol Lavan and Likud received around 25% of the vote but neither party won enough seats to build a coalition government with their preferred partners.
The only way out of the political stalemate is a national unity government with or without Lieberman.
Either that or the country would face a third round of elections in February with no guarantee of a outcome.
A designer election result that forces Israelis to work together.
The two big parties won nearly the same number of seats. Kachol Lavan is in a worst place because it cant form a coalition with the Arabs and given the historic weakness of the Israeli Left, it has no other way into the government.
Realistically, it will have to sit with Netanyahu.I dont see any other option on the table.
If that’s what your simple mind needs to understand, and it seems so, then yes junior, like professional wrestling.
Now this is a big boy’s board so have your milk and cookies and go to bed.
and yes, I would say it to your face.
and yes, I know you're a boxer, but so what.
now go have another drink, or take some more pills, or choke your chicken ... if you can find it ...
