Saudi says Iranian sponsorship of attack undeniable

Saudi Arabia displayed remnants of what it described as Iranian drones and cruise missiles used in an attack on Saudi oil facilities as “undeniable” evidence of Iranian aggression.

Defence Ministry spokesman Colonel Turki al-Malki said a total of 25 drones and missiles were launched at two oil plants in last weekend’s strikes, including what he identified as Iranian Delta Wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and “Ya Ali” cruise missiles.

Why trust anything the Saudis say? The Saudis played a part in 9-11. They cost Americans trillions in the 70s with the oil embargo and hyper inflation. Their Sharia fundamentalist Muslim culture is totally counter to our own. They vilely kill and torture their own and some who work for American comoanies. They probably played a role in the false intel that got us into Iraq.

OK they spend billions on our weaponry.

Let those who live in the ME take care of their own neighborhood, their spending and sacrifice their own.

Trump needs to consider that most Americans hate the idea of another war in the ME. Another such war will cost him and conservative Americans dearly. MAGA No war

.
They think of “the best” as someone else doing the fighting and dying for them.

I’m sure the Iranians have been at full battle stations since the launch.

They have to be really tired by now...waiting.

And waiting.

And waiting some more.

When they finally give up and return to barracks, send a Tomahawk through the front door of every single one of the nationwide. It would also be nice to see the F-35 do its business for real, taking out every air defense and anti-ship missile facility they have.

They would be expecting an attack on their air force, air defense, leadership and nuke installations.

Surprise them. Hit barracks, anti-ship missile batteries,...and of course air defense.

Now back to real politik....

No. The US should do nothing until/unless Iran commits another attack. Then we should do all I listed above.

It’s the worlds oil supply, and a healthy US economy is at least somewhat dependent upon a healthy world economy. As much as that sucks.

And gas prices are ABSOLUTELY dependent upon the free flow of oil out of the Gulf.

Besides, the Iranians are desperate. They’ll hit again.

“The moron Islamist asshole idiots who took over Persia in 1979 really have no idea what they’re doing”

Saudi Arabia is also ruled by “moron Islamists”. They may not be idiots, but they’re dictators and sponsors of terrorism.

the only difference btw Iran and Saudis is the brand of Islam. Its Sunni Islamofascism vs Shia Islamofaschism

The correct way for a US president to deal with whatever is going on in Saudi Arabia:

Matthew 27:24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude....

The guy obviously did not like being played...

“I did notice that gas prices went up $.40 a gallon yesterday.”

That would be from the higher demand by panicky people expecting the price to go up.

Some people will always be the victims in the marketplace, and others will always be the victors.

“...That’s just intermediaries like fuel distributors, and various gas stations and their chains jacking up the price to make a quick buck. Talk about artificial scarcity...”

That’s just about consumers paying more. Don’t blame anyone else. Every seller always maximizes their profit by balancing price and volume. If people panic and and buy more, of course the sellers will raise the prices. Economics 101.

The Saudis should really do something about that oh but they can't because they aren't a real nation, just a country run by 5000 member crime family of goat molesters who lucked out with the oil. Its like Jed Clampet but with a heavy dose of let's fund Islamoterrorism. It's a phony Kingdom full of phonies, that fund a phony prophet and is a phony friend.

Hey Saudi Arabia go cry somewhere else American's by in large of all stripes detest you - just ask around. Its not a virulent hate. We all know score about you and you're bad - in fact an malevolent force of evil in this world and its plain to see.

We also hate Iran - two countries we hate, in a war with each other - just when we become the worlds largest export of refined petro products, thats doggone shame

That was my point.

Their armed services for the most are there to hold the population down & look pretty. The Saudi National Guard (a separate service) is pretty much built around the dominant tribe. Its like an African nation in that regard. Their job is regime pretection, hold down the other tribes. (The place has a lot of similarities to an African nation!) Lets give the new Crown Price some time. I think he wants to make the place “normal” but it will take time, his methods won’t be pretty . Also he may not succeed, I think he wants to but it may not work. What will come next will make the present mess look like a picnic.

Unless you are filling up a few dozen 55 gallon drums to store at home, it’s really not worth it.

“against any foe they are a more equal match too, like Iran”

As I said: “against any foe they are a more equal match too, like Iran”, which Yemen is not.

Saudi Arabia has the 3rd largest defense budget.

And no; they are not getting their butts kicked in Yemen. Their air forces are doing massive damage to the areas the Houthi count as strongholds, making it impossible for the Houthi to get control of all of Yemen.

But the Saudis do not have to contend with a Houthi air force, nor a Houthi navy; which leaves their air forces & naval forces successful but untested against another force their equal.

Meanwhile the Saudis have the manpower for a land assault in Yemen, but don’t do it; leaving their land forces largely untested.

The Saudis are not getting their butts kicked, and while their equipment is getting tested against the Houthi, their troops are only getting tested on their handling of their equipment but not against similar & equal forces.

Meanwhile the Quds force commanders of the Mullahs have battlefield experience in Iraq and Syria.

THAT is what I meant. The Saudis are untested against an equal foe. They need to be, so their vast military budget can be prioritized to meet an actual equal foe. They need to talk to Israel when it comes to how to deal with Iran.

Good points. The Saudis will likely lead the response attack on Iran.

Their troops often lack motivation and training; particularly in readiness and unit cohesion.
