To bad the Republican Party offers no real alternative to socialism.
I don't know about that. Trump is not even close to a socialist, and what the majority of republicans want and have done, is not socialism. One might consider what the republicans have done to be capitalism-lite, but, there are no republicans that have advocated any real socialism track.
However, republicans are surrendering to the liberal rhetoric, and are doing so in order to attract votes. The don't want to go full-conservative for fear of not getting enough voters from the other side(s) who are not enamored with the liberal/socialist ideals.

Globalism is what the GOP is all about. That is not an alternative to socialism.
The choice for the working class (i.e. 100+ million)before Trump was better to be an employed socialist than an unemployed globalist.
