As someone who spent 30 years in us and 30 years in Asia, my observation is that America made 2 mistakes: 1) slavery. You don’t import culturally incompatible people into your living space for any reason. 2) emancipation. They tried to remedy the first mistake and they did it wrong way. They had opportunity to relocate blacks overseas or send them home. Those years from my reading 95% of blacks wanted to go home. Instead, Americans released them in their own country. These two mistakes show Americans are not type of people who are good at building nation.
